Project encompassed design of Wellheads, Offshore Platform and Onshore Gas & Condensate Terminal, which includes mixed phase flow reception, condensate stabilisation and storage facilities together with Utilities like Air, Fuel Gas, Nitrogen, Chemical and Methanol injection, Diesel Generators and Water Treatment Facilities

Responsible for :

a) Manpower planning, process budget hours and schedule and control of process change notes.

b) Involved in the development of process deliverable like Basis of Design, Heat and Mass Balance, Process Description, PFDs, UFDs, Safeguarding Diagrams, Smartplant P&IDs, Equipment & Line sizing calculations, Equipment and Instrument Process Datasheets, Line List during the FEED and Detailed Engineering phase of the project.

c) Involved in the development of project philosophies like Isolation Philosophy, Relief, Flare & Blowdown Philosophy, Vent and Drains Philosophy.

d) Attended HAZOP/SIL review meetings and responsible for closeout of HAZOP/SIL Review recommendations in conjunction with Process Safety, reviewed safety and relief calculations.

The FGP (Future Growth Project) is a major expansion of TCO's oil production capacity, comprising of five major facilities: Pressure Boost Facility (PBF), FGP Main Process Facilities (3GP), Sour Gas Injection Plant (3GI), Sour Water Stripping and Water Injection System (SWS) and Utilities.

Job Profile:

Area Process Lead for Sour Water Stripping and Water Injection System with responsibility for scheduling of process budget hours and schedule and control of process change notes.

Involved in the development of process deliverable like Basis of Design, Heat and Mass Balance, Process Description, PFDs, UFDs, P&IDs, Equipment & Line sizing calculations, Equipment and Instrument Process Datasheets, Line List, Sectionalisation Narrative, Utility Summary, Relief and Blowdown Summary, Process Reglament / Operating Manual during the FEED and Detailed Engineering phase of the project.

Developed simulation model using PROMAX as alternative to HYSYS for different operating scenarios in Sour Water System.

Involved in process safety calculations for determining relief loads, relief valve sizing, process safety time calculations, flare header sizing, flow and acoustic induced vibrations.

Conducted Process Feasibility studies e.g. Ejector study, Pipeline study, modification of column internals. Successful in reducing project cost by $150 million by replacement of Acid Gas Compressors with Gas Ejectors.

Project : Shah-Deniz II Onshore Gas & Condensate Terminal Brownfield Project, Azerbaijan

Client : BP

Shah-Deniz-II project encompassed development of off-shore platform and on-shore crude oil processing facility in Caspean Sea in Azerbaijan, with tie-ins to existing Shah Deniz-I facility.

Responsible for development of brownfield and tie-in P&IDs, interface schedule, preparing Process Change Notes, review of existing relief valve and control valve calculations, line hydraulics and closing out HAZOP recommendations.

B) From Mar 2012 to Jul 2012

Project : HOD Redevelopment Study

Client : BP

HOD Offshore Re-Development Study consisted of a designing un-manned wellhead platform (jacket & topsides), with gas-lift facilitated production, water injection and waste disposal wells and brownfield modifications to existing Valhall facilities.

Overall coordinator, responsible for development of PFDs, P&IDs, UFDs, MDDs and HAZOP Recommendation closeout.

Role encompassed rationalizing the conventional blowdown rates, re-sizing of LP and HP Flare headers (using Flarenet), re-sizing of HP Flare KO Drum and checking the radiation levels of HP Flare tip (using Flaresim).

Project : Clair Ridge Offshore Drilling and Accommodation Platform FEED and EPC Project

Job Profile :

Primary responsibility was process design of Glycol Dehydration Unit and Gas Injection Facility.
Additional responsibility included sole interface with Client for closeout of P&ID comments, closeout of HAZOP / LOPA recommendations, liaison with other disciplines, development and control of project philosophies e.g. Maintenance and Isolation Philosophy, Emergency Shutdown Philosophy etc.

Concept Study aimed to recover LPG from condensate with modifications in piping arrangement in the existing plant with LPG Storage Facility.

Performed simulation study in HYSYS, developed Process Flow Diagrams, Control Philosophy, Equipment Design, Hazardous Area Classification and liaised with Projects / Estimation to provide a cost estimate for the proposed modification.

FEED for new pipeline network to convey low sulphur fuel oil & fuel gas from KNPC’s facilities at Mina Al Ahmadi (MAA) Refinery to Sabiya and Doha Power Stations.

Responsible for:
a) Sizing of Sabiya and Doha multiple pipe Slug Catchers.
b) Complete process design of Fuel Oil Transfer system which includes PFDs, P&IDs, Process Datasheets, line hydraulics and process instrumentation datasheets.

Project : Rabigh Development Concept & pre-FEED Study

Job Profile :

Role stretched across various Refinery Units and comprised of different studies, which are summarised as follows:

a) Comparative study of Foster Wheeler’s conventional Sour Water Stripping System against Hybrid design by the Process Licensor (Shaw Group).

b) Comparative simulation study of Propylene-Propane Splitter column.

c) Debottlenecking of existing Amine Unit.

Client : Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) - Uran, Maharashtra, India

This EPC project which was first of its kind in India which included installation of an Oil Flooded Flare Gas Recovery Screw Compressor Package and modification of Flare Tip & Ignition System from normal FFG Panel to a Continuous Sparking Electronic Arc one with Retractable Mechanism.

1) REFINERY REVAMP / DE-BOTTLENECKING / BROWN-FIELD PROJECTS

•De-Bottlenecking of Main Fractionators at Crude Distillation Unit (CDU-I & II) at Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) - Bongaigaon Refinery and Petrochemicals with Sulzer's High Capacity Trays with the objective of capacity augmentation in existing columns.
Role encompassed from identification of the prospect (through technical discussion with Client), conducting simulation study in PRO-II, Tray hydraulics, marketing of the High-Capacity Trays, to execution of the revamp.

•De-Bottlenecking of Pre-fractionator & Main Fractionators at Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) & Delayed Coker Unit (DCU) at Indian Oil Corporation (IOC)- Guwahati Refinery, which involved simulation study, replacement of existing trays with Sulzer's structured packing (Mellapak). Responsible for design and execution of the revamp and troubleshooting.

•Revamp of trays in fractionators at Solvent Dewaxing Unit & Coker-A Unit at IOC-Barauni Refinery.

•Marketing of structured packings for Glycol (TEG) Dehydration Unit at Oil India Limited (OIL), Duliajan, India.

•Marketing of trays for Mini Refinery at ONGC-Tatipaka, India.

2) FEASIBILITY STUDY - Distilled Fatty Acid Plant at Unilever, Garden Reach Unit, Kolkata, INDIA

• Prepared Process Design Package for Distilled Fatty Acid Plant comprising of Basis of Design, Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment Datasheets and Control Philosophy
• Marketing of Sulzer’s structured packings (Mellapak Plus) for columns.

3) REVAMP OF COLUMNS - CHEMICAL / AIR SEPARATION UNITS

• Conducted simulation study and marketed Sulzer products (structured packings) for separation of ortho- and para- Di-Nitrochlorobenzene at Vivada Chemicals, Dhadwad, India.
