Surgicalward 17/12/2008 to 10/01/2015 Staff Nurse DUTIES RESPONSIBILITY Responsible for leading and managing the Nursing activities of a designated area of the hospital Professional service is delivered to patients at all times in accordance with the hospital policies, all statutory regulatory requirements within the available budgeting frame work.
•Nursing Duties in medical and surgical ward
•Basic Nursing Care
•Assists all patient with activities of daily living
•Orients patients to the room
•Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
•Provides assistance in emergencies
•Monitoring of Vitals, intake and output
•Provides bed bathing and pressure care to patients
•Assists with patient nutrition and feeding
•Assisting in maintaining a tidy unit especially the nurse's station and utility rooms
•Monitoring and ordering linen and stores
•Oxygen Administration
•Provision of administrative support
•Blood sugar monitoring
•Ensures that patient have an adequate supply of clean linen, and that soiled itemsare removed
•Suctioning, Nebulization
•Assist with dressing and procedures
•Collecting or taking items to other areas of the hospital as requested by the nurse manager or Team leader
