Tecnicas Reunidas Abu Dhabi:- July 2012 till date - as Electrical Commissioning Engineer - Working for the Full Field Development of Sahil & Shah Oil Field - ADCO Project - Crude oil Gathering, Degassing and Pumping Station - Brown Field Project
The Project Electrical Scope includes - EPC - Construction of 11kv Substation, Installation of Equipments, HV/LV Switchgears, Transformers, UPS System, Substation Control and Monitoring System and all associated field Equipments including testing and Commissioning of Motors and Control Panels.
GS E&C - April 2011 till 12 January 2012 for a PDO Oman Project SNDC 1 - Sr. Electrical Engineer (Commissioning) 4 months in Seoul - South Korea and balance period in Oman) - Depletion Compressor - Brown Field Gas Compression Project
This is the Saih Nihayda Depletion Compression Project for augmenting the GAS production levels. The works include setting up of a 132kv Substation and 33KV/440V Substations and all the related construction/testing and Commissioning of Equipments for three trains of GAS compression units and modernization of the existing unit by installation of a new Turbo expander-recompressor and LTS.
My Job Responsibility includes but not limited to:-
Preparation of different method statement and testing procedures for client’s approval.
Plan and Co-ordinate training programme for the client by Vendor / Equipment suppliers of Electrical Equipments; like UPS, VFD and Switchgear etc.
Ensure that project handover from construction to commissioning and to operations (client) are carried out and documented in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure that the installation / construction has been completed in accordance with the engineering packages and technical requirements.
Inspection of the Equipment on receipt and conducting of Ex-Inspection before the pre-commissioning of the site installed accessories and bulk supplied materials - like JB, Lighting fixtures and installation of gland etc by Ex-certified inspection agency.
Commissioning and start up of substation electrical equipments: Current transformer, Voltage transformer, Breaker, MV cable (Insulation and Hi Pot Test), Battery Charger, and Battery (Charge and discharge Test).
Commissioning and start-up of MV/LV transformer, up to 33kV Electrical switchgear.
Ensure the works of installation, commissioning and startup Electrical Switchboard, Breakers, Motors in accordance with the company specs and international standards.
Execute unit start-up and performance tests ensuring proper and safe operation of the machine by evaluating the running parameters.
Trouble shooting of electrical systems such as Switchgear control systems, Excitation System, Starting Equipment, Protection System, Generator, Transformers, Battery, Battery Chargers, Inverters(UPS), Motors, HV/LV Switchgears.
Worked Edgilis Singapore on second men to - Keppel Seghers Engineering Singapore - as Electrical Construction Completion/Commissioning Superintendent QA/QC-- till December 2010 - Power Plant Project in Qatar. The Project is to set up a Waste to Energy Project of 56MW - Thermal Power Plant using solid waste as fuel and biogas. The work includes setting up of a Power Plant and 66kv Substation taking in the KAHRAMAA Power and on the start up from the PP, feed - back to the system the excess capacity of about 50MW, Construction of 66/11kv and 11/6.6kv Substations and MCCs that are required for running the plant.
The system consists of 1 number Steam Turbine Generator and 5 numbers of Gas Turbine Generators and their different systems. Currently testing and commissioning of the equipment is progressing. Primary and Secondary injection tests and Stability test for 66kv and 11kv Switchgears. Trial runs of all MCC, VFD and other soft starters for different drives, blowers, pumps and auxiliaries.
EPC of Production Enhancement of Harweel Cluster - Petroleum Development Oman (Shell). For setting up of Crude Oil Gathering centers, Crude oil Processing units, Gas and Oil Booster Stations for Exports, Compression units for Injection Manifolds and well heads, for Production Enhancement and Optimization. The Electrical work includes Indoor and out door Substations (132kv/33kv/11kv/6.6kv/ 433 volts), Installation of Switchgears, Transformers and Motor Control Centers, VSDs, Serial Interface units, UPS/Battery banks, Control Rooms and all other associated skids and equipments. Testing and putting in to operations with complete SCADA operations..Supervise sub-contractors during the construction and commissioning activities at the site, Participate in checking detailed drawings and other documentation. Supervise and approve construction activities and inspection of materials and drawings.
Monitoring of daily work progress, quality of work as per “SHELL ” and maintain Progress Report.Supervise and assist in System Completion and monitoring of Progress by using “WINPCS” System \{Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities of Electrical Systems (HV Switchgear, LV Switchgear, UPS, VSD, Motors and Controls, Cathodic Protection etc)\}
To liaise and coordinate with QC Inspector on quality related matters, in order to maintain a high standard of Quality Control.Liaise with Safety Advisors for safety related matters and to maintain high HSE Standards and carry out auditing of “STOP” system for preventing accidents/injuries.Inspection of received equipment (identification, completeness, dimensional and integrity checks) compliance with the SP requirements and completeness.
EPC of Inter Refinery Pipeline Project for TAKREER:-
Scope of work:- EPC of Pipeline from Ruwais To Mussafah / Abu- Dhabi Refinery/ Abu-Dhabi International Airport and Al-Ain Dispatch Terminal (Approx Length 1000 Kms of Pipeline).
Work includes Construction of Pipeline and Associated Terminals and Tank Facilities at Ruwais, Mussafah, Abu-Dhabi Refinery, Abu-Dhabi International Airport, Maqta AGF and Al-Ain(Facility Up-gradation).
Preparation of Method Statement and Submission to Client for approval. Presentation of completed work for Third Party inspection. Updating and Maintaining records for progress monitoring. Implementing Company Policy for maintaining High level of HSE Standards. Monitoring the Works done by Sub-Contractors and Maintaining Quality and Progress.
Daily Planning and Execution of Electrical/ Cathodic Protection related works.
Installation Testing and commissioning of Switchgears, Transformers, Motor Control Stations, VFDs, Marshalling boxes,
Installation and testing of Cathodic Protection (Installation of Transformer Rectifier units, Pin bracing on pipelines, Installation of Positive and Negative junction boxes, Installation of Anodes (sacrificial/ impressed current), laying of MMO string anodes for on grade tank bottoms and Zinc ribbon anodes for cased road crossing, laying of main and protection cables, Drilling and installation of Deep well Anode ground beds, current mitigation surveys, closed interval potential surveys, monitoring of temporary protection PSP etc).
