Scope of work and responsibility in brief for the North LPG Tank Farm Project (NLTF)
A new Plant Associated facility is to be providing at mina AL-Ahmadi Refinery (MAA) to store LPG Products arising from the existing Gas Trains 1, 2 and 3 and the planned new plant Gas Train 4 and 5. The Tank farm is to be built on the site of the existing north tank farm which is it be demolished. The Project includes the provision of additional export facilities to increase the capacity of the existing ship loading system.
A propane refrigeration system for propane and butane boil off gas and sub-cooling of propane loading. And product loading lines to allow the simultaneous loading of tow ship at Berth 1 and 2 on the New Oil Pier with both propane and butane. The Following New Utility system shall be provided and interconnected with existing system as part of the NLTF Project.
TANKS
•Responsibilities which includes but not limited as follows.
Study the Contract Document and Project Specifications, Scope of work & Site Survey Based on Project Requirements Complete day to day all mechanical, Piping Construction & Project engineering activities at site. Preparation of Method Statements, Procedures, Work packages for each system and Identifying Engineering constraints for each system and Highlighting the same to Design Engineering for field changes related to construction and get approval from client-KNPC as per contractual requirements.
•Duties included, controlling Contractor site supervisors and technicians for the timely completion of the job. Supervision of construction activities, like bottom plates, shell plates, roof structure, roof plate, U/G & A/G pipping-SS, CS, RTRP and firefighting. Estimation and execution of grit / garnet blasting and painting. Coordinating with QA/QC for stage wise inspection and following HSE requirements to safe execution. Preparation of job Oriented Risk assessments, conducting daily toolbox talk to make awareness of risk and hazardous. Preparation of Working Sequence, Presentations and get Approval. Preparation of Working Schedules Overall, Partial and get Approval. Planning to lead the work ahead with the scheduled limit.
•Monitoring all types of fabrication activity, Ensure the material availability and providing priority to Fabrication shop as per construction sequence. Preparation of Job safety analyses (JSA) and Risk Assessments for the job Oriented. Co-ordination between the Sub-con Project management for follow up the site requirements, like loading note’s material gate pass’s etc.
PROCESS PIPING
•Site survey with Existing Piping Layout with contract P&ID’s, Identifying the scope of work in piping & Equipment Erection and Tie-in’s
•Preparation of Method Statements / Construction procedure for various Piping & Mechanical.
•Preparation of Tie-In Method statements, materials requirements, Grouping the Tie-in’s based on each system or service and developing spade list for positive isolations to execute the Tie-Ins during Partial shutdown. Material Take off from Iso drawings prior to start activity.
•Inter departmental coordination for Engineering clarifications, Material for prefabrication and site construction activities.
•Preparation of isometric and piping plan as per site changes.
•Preparation of daily schedule report, progress and plan cost analysis, Estimation of manpower on depending upon the work.
•Studying of vendor drawing, piping plan & Isometric drawing and follow up the Technical Specifications and contractual conditions.
•Preparing daily progress reports to the project management about the progress on daily and weekly basis.
•Assist construction supervisors in the planning of construction methods and procedures.
•Coordinating with QC department personnel’s and complies with the quality concepts prescribed by the client. Responsible for project execution which including hydrostatic & pneumatic pressure test and pre-commissioning activities.
•Making of As-Built Isometric and GA drawings
