Strategical Short-term planning and long-term planning for the safety department in line with Management requirements. i.e. manpower, Training, Policy matters, Updating, Technology with Safety activities
Adopt INEOS Process safety principles into plant procedures;
Do a gap analysis and address the issues appropriately;
Train the plant personnel as necessary;
Validate the correct implementation; Prepare the plants for PS& BS audits;
Monitor HAZOP recommendations and continual follow-up on action items liquidation
Continuous monitoring of SCA’s (Safety-Critical Alarms) & SCS’s (Safety-Critical System) activation, if noted report them immediately and initiate its investigation process
Ensure critical assets are listed and PM (Preventive Maintenance) carried out as per defined schedules Thorough monitoring of process units through DCS for verifying operational envelopes (OE’s), if any excursions noted record the same and initiate for its investigation
To drive compliance to RIL's HSE Policy and Standards, project excellence program at Project Site and to drive employee involvement processes and continual improvement in shop floor standards; Drive implementation of the HSE Policy; Recommend and obtain approval for appropriate organizational resources to implement the HSE Procedures. Document responsibility and authority at all levels in the organization.
Draw up and implement an HSE Training Program to support the implementation of HSE Standards & Procedures; Facilitate use of the HSE procedures in routine business of the Site; Establish and achieve meaningful objectives and targets; Identify and employ control systems to minimize HSE impacts; Review and report on HSE performance and issues routinely; Anchor the HSE Management Review; HSE MIS: HSE Reporting as per the RIL Reporting Guidelines in the HSE Reporting Database;Monthly sharing of HSE KPI's as per HSE Review Format with Site Team; HSE Contract compilation at annual frequency; HSE Annual reporting in Data Base; Accident Investigation, Closure - Ensure compliance to the RIL Protocol, Quality of inspection and adequacy of closure; HSE Audits - Permit to Work, PPE Compliance, Machinery Guarding, Electrical Isolation, LOTO, Emergency Equipment (First Aid, Eye wash station, Fire equipment access), Ladder safety, Visitor safety Audit, Tanker / Truck Offloading;

This is a 3*660 Mega watts Thermal Power Plant worth 1, 815 Million USD. Vedanta Resources is the owner for the project and Plant
The HSE team comprises of SEPCO (EPC) HSE Members with contractors L&T, GDCL, PMPL, PHPL and other Contractors along with 70 more sub-contractors; Total Manpower of the project is more than 10K.
Strong knowledge of and experience in dealing with as many of the following areas, in order of importance, including: Environmental, personnel safety, process safety, industrial hygiene, materials management
Ensure implementation of EHS norms, Policy across organization(& projects), EHS reporting, Conducting EHS audits, establishing the global HSSE standards, risk assessments and formulating safe procedures, Ensuring compliance to legislative
Establish an HSE system relevant to business strategy and develop specific safety policies, procedures and programs including but not limited to.
Facilitate health and safety training for Company staff, subcontractors, and any parties required to participate to ensure achievement of exceptional health & safety performance including developing training content and delivering course information
Author health and safety related documentation (reports, logs, records, and site specific risk mitigation plans), completing required information for daily reports and client communications in a timely and accurate manner
Provide oversight to subcontractors, clients, and project team members to ensure that project activities are completed according to applicable APP(s)
Conduct regular inspections to assess health and safety plan adherence as well as identify potential loss and risk
Take appropriate actions to prevent loss and mitigate risk in accordance to Company standards and practices
Ensure that deficiencies are corrected in a timely manner and to acceptable measures
Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure that health and safety activities are incorporated effectively into project plans
To ensure accident prevention to people, plant& property. Disseminate EHS Policy, IMS requirements to site personnel. Provide necessary advice& support in effective implementation of IMS requirements; Updating EHS Plan to the requirements of activities being carried out. Planning& procuring PPE as per RC, Prioritizing workers welfare& health carrying out regular inspections of labor camps& drinking water quality, accordingly good hygienic conditions are maintained. Take appropriate actions to prevent loss and mitigate risk. Ensure that deficiencies are corrected in a timely manner &to acceptable measures; Providing management with detailed analysis for injuries, near misses, investigation reports& statistics of IR/FR; Try to eliminate conflicts between production and safety
Preparation of HSE plan, Risk assessment, Process job safety/hazard analysis, continuous monitoring in construction activities, representing company in various safety meetings, Streamlining management safety policies with strict principles.
Establish an HSE system relevant to business strategy and develop specific safety policies, procedures and programs including but not limited to.
