Responsible for managing the planning and buying of all media for Yas Marina Circuit, both regionally and internationally, for the first Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2009, and all future products for the future of this brand new innovative motorsports venue, including GP2, V8 Supercars, FIA GT and Drag Racing.
Responsible for the set up and management of YMC’s in-house design studio, comprising 4 designers. The Design Studio was responsible for the entire marketing collateral, comprising brochures, tickets, packaging and all business documents. I was entirely focused within the business to deliver the right mix of advertising and marketing collateral to ensure a 100% sell-out for the first Abu Dhabi F1 GP. All of my targets were met or exceeded.
Working across the men’s lifestyle titles, with main responsibility for Middle East Golfer. Responsible for creating and launching the Middle East Golfer Awards and Golfer Gazette, the daily paper for the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship, a European PGA Tour event. Launched a new monthly cricket title Middle East Cricket. In October 2008.
Working on a 5 times a week sports newspaper that had been in the market for over a year, the investor pulled the financing at the end of March 2007.
