• Involved in ZBB (Zero Based Budgeting) exercise for copacker buying spend for the financial year based on the volumes generated in the S&OP.

Green Field Project Procurement: L&T Power Division - Surat, India
• Handled global sourcing -green field project worth USD 40 million; handled end to end procurement, logistics, commissioning of capital equipment in Strategic sourcing-L&T-MHI Boilers division.
• Conducted time study and cost benefit analysis and calculations to provide Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for purchase of capital equipment - CNC machines, Overhead Cranes etc.
• Followed a strategic sourcing process In TCO, supplier assessment, floating RFQ’s and RFP’s, Price Negotiations and tracking results after successful implementation.
• Led a team of 5 graduate trainees in implementing Total Productive Maintenance thereby improving effectiveness - OEE of critical machines from 35% to 60% resulting in capacity increase by 30 man days.
• Selected for the prestigious training program at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) - Nagasaki, Japan from L&T, which entailed sharing of best practices between MHI and L&T. (2010).
Brown Field Supply Chain/logistics: L&T Valves Unit - Kanchipuram, India
• Developed and implemented material procurement strategy for the industrial valves division, through Spend Analytics; delivered savings of 15% per year.
• Core member-vendor management and new product development for new design industrial valves aimed towards Lean mfg. which developed a streamlined vendor base for L&T Valves to source valve components at best quality.
• Was responsible for procurement and logistics of defect free castings &inbound logistics; Brought down defect rate and non-conformances from 5% to 3% through process improvements at vendor end.
• Expertise in the usage of ERP-SAP (MM-R2) modules for material management and production.
• Member of a core team that achieved the target of USD 5 million cost reductions by devising a costing sheet/model after conducting a process-benchmarking study among the vendors.
