• Develop building designs and highly detailed drawings both by hand and by using specialist
Computer-aided design (CAD) applications.
• Liaising with construction professionals about the feasibility of potential implementation
Methods.
• Working closely with a team of other professionals such as building service engineers,
Construction managers, quantity surveyors and architectural technologists.
• Adapting plans according to circumstances and resolving any problems that may arise
During construction.
• Preparing detailed engineering drawings and able to identify the discrepancies and missing Information while developing the model.
• To prepare drawings and reports in accordance with the project requirements and the company standards.
• Able to revise the model and deliverables to accommodate the design changes and new inputs.
• To Generate coordinate setting out point locations.
• Preparing BOQ technical shop drawing and cutting list.
• Making sure the drawing production is running according to schedule and budget;
• Playing a part in project and team management.
• Attending regularly to building sites, proposed locations and client meetings.
• Monitor the preparation of shop drawings and making sure that deadlines are met as per
Applicable in-house quality standards.
• Monitor and Review sub-contractors’ submittals: materials, method statements, shop
Drawings, progress reports, execution plans, etc… Propose alternate solutions for
Ambiguous items without compromising the project change management protocols and
Quality.
• Analyze and generate RFI to the consultant to clarify various ambiguities in IFC documents;
• Prepare list of shop drawings and set submittal dates in accordance with the construction
Schedule.
• Liaise with MEP for coordination purposes.
• Attend meetings with sub-contractors to follow up on their shop drawings progress and
Monitor their technical output to make sure it is in line with the projects design intent and
Specifications.
• Create final model incorporating the as-built condition and site amendments.
• Review sub-contractors shop drawings before official submission for technical check-up and
Fine tuning if needed.
• Resolve interface problems amongst various trades by preparing coordination shop
Drawings. (Architecture, Structural, Civil and MEP).
