BASIC FUNCTION:
Provides laboratory services, It is the responsibility of this section to ensure crude oil export cargoes are within specifications and support 10 labs in field desert of Oman
Manage laboratory services in compliance with standard operational & safety procedures, service agreements and export schedules to ensure business objectives are met.
Ensure the Lab management system is secure, facilitates work flow processes and incorporates effective quality control to accurately report on service efficiency.
Formulate the Competence Development framework for Lab Technicians in line with Shell Standards and Guidelines, to assure staff competence.
Improve the overall quality of laboratory operations and foster harmonization of laboratory procedures and systems across all Labs

BASIC FUNCTION:
Controls, organizes and supervises the day-to-day operation of the
Laboratory including shift activities, performing standard analytical tests on crude oil, liquid petroleum products, and gas and water sample for product certification. Monitors requisitions and controls the supply all chemicals and other materials, and equipment; and review all testing techniques and results to obtain consistent accurate results within specified schedules. Deputizes for Laboratory Manager in his absence.
Carries out the more complex, lengthy and sensitive test requiring special skill, care and experience, such as gas chromatographic analysis,
