Plant shutdown inspection of heat exchangers, fin fan coolers, columns, pressure vessels, storage tanks, furnaces, reactors and process pipelines in accordance with procedures and standards.

Coating / Painting Inspection and DFT measurement of above ground equipment and piping.
Inspection after repair in Heat Exchangers like Tubes, Plugging and seal welding of tubes, Hydro-test shell &Tube sides etc.
Hardness check and reviewing PWHT charts.
Interpretation of Radiographic films.
Inspection during fabrication of piping and in-service inspection of piping, static equipment (pressure vessels, heat ex-changers) storage tanks, fired heaters and making inspection reports.
Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining the pressure vessel inspection plan together with engineering and corrosion specialist support, meeting all QMS requirements.
Familiarize equipment with prior history of the equipment they are responsible for, reviewing the equipment’s prior inspection results, prior repairs, and current inspection plan and determining the types of inspection required, e.g. internal, external, on-stream, etc.
Determine the corrosion rates, remaining life, and next inspection date for each equipment.
Review and update the inspection and NDE techniques required for each equipment, including the extent and locations of inspection and NDE.
Verify that all new materials used during repairs or alterations are consistent with the specifications.
Assure that the minimum preheat and post weld heat treatments are performed in accordance with the qualified welding procedures.
Turn around inspection of Piping circuits, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, fired heaters and boilers.
Inspection and testing of PSVs and PRVs.
Review of NDE results such as DP, MT, RT and UT.
Conducting welder performance qualifications.

Inspection
Responsibilities:
•On stream and shutdown inspection of storage tanks, plant/offsite piping.
•Fabrication inspection and hydro testing of piping and storage tanks.
•Involved in inspection and repair of boilers, fired pressure vessels like heat exchangers, columns, vessels and connected facilities.
•Inspection and testing of PRVs and PSVs.
•Review of NDE results such as DP, MT, RT and UT.
•Involved in welding inspection and welder’s performance qualification.
•All inspections related with inspection department like fit-up, welding, material, coating and insulation.
•Various stage inspection of piping, static equipments and storage tanks during fabrication and erection.
