Finance & Accounting
● Supervising maintenance of general ledger including all aspects of accounts receivable, payable, sales and purchase ledger, cash and bank, fixed assets, Intercompany etc.
● Ensuring effective and efficient workflow and performance of the accounts receivable and payable teams, against defined goals and objectives.
● Managing monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information, ensuring accuracy of financial statements.
● Preparing quarterly management accounts, analyzing performance of business segments by using variance analysis and other tools.
● Preparing standalone and consolidated annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other legal requirements.
● Partnering with BU heads on preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Analyzing BU performance against budgets, forecasts, prior years. Ensuring compliance with IFRS and IAS.
● Commenting on the variance and on performance against set KPIs.
● Coordinating with external and internal auditors and meeting internal audit KPIs.
● Review of balance sheet reconciliations & commentary provided by process/GL owners.
Treasury:
● Bank Reconciliation & Preparing budgets/forecasts (including cash flow forecasts and net requirements), managing and forecasting cash flows, assessing finance requirements of the company and arranging finance to match the said requirements.
● Managing finance costs and monitor utilization levels of various banking facilities. The Group has long/short term facilities from the top banks of UAE.
Finance Transformation
● Lead the compliance with agreements and statutory requirements such as Value Added Tax (VAT).
● Responsible for setting up R2R function under Finance shared services Division for other Business.
● Ensure smooth implantation of New ERP- Oracle Fusion
FP&A & Finance Control
● Handled robust financial management for BT’s major UK Govt contracts.
● Preparing the forecasts & Budget while actively working with CDD (Client Delivery Director) & BD (Business Director).for having full understanding of risks and opportunities.
● Management Report Pack to Stakeholders for decision making.
● Monthly Finalization Accounts with manual adjustments through journal entries to submit true position of Financial Accounts with application of IFRS to statuary reporting team for consolidation.
● Flash Meeting Discussion with Decision Support team explaining variances on Actual against Forecast on monthly basis.

Compliance Lead

● Enhancing Journal documentation - standardizing checklist, setting approval DOA, improving backups
● Support adherence to compliance requirements through monthly Self assessments mechanism, Sample Journal testing for entire Sector, Control Testing
● Liaoning with 1st LOD on all new requirements & facilitating completion of internal & external Audits & walkthroughs
