for Al Futtaim Group's Data Center, both in operations, new efficient builds, improvements to existing facilities and the day to day operations.
•Managing & supporting the team of 8 data center engineers. Reporting to the data centre manager.
•Responsible for monitoring & supporting business systems and infrastructure facilities & support in case of any issues.
•Daily system health checks like temperature, humidity. Maintaining the inventory of assets in All IT Rooms.
•Preparing & Keeping records of monthly inventory of all IT equipment of data centers & IT rooms.
•Responsible for asset labeling on the for new or updated appliances of data centre.
•Managing and preparing monthly data centre power consumption, WO reports using DCIM/BMS tools.
•Arranging knowledge transfer sessions within the data center team for ease the workload.
•Cooperating with Internal auditors and able to fill the gaps of Data Center process and policy.
•Managing DCIM tool for capacity sizing of power & cooling for data centers.
•Conduct preventative maintenance on data center equipment to ensure efficient operations.
•Coordinating with local (UAE) & International team for managing day to day data center activities.
•Integral part of Change management team for Business Systems and Applications.
•Interacting with senior management for any new requirement & reducing the risk factors of data center.
•Managing & Supporting BMS team in Data center FCU units, Power, UPS, generators, chiller systems using BMS tool.
•Responsible for all Business intelligence production platforms operations, support & report.
•Administrative duties include scheduling employee shifts, planning for downtime activities, resource planning & management, Keep records/data of all the systems.
•I have good knowledge of Network cabling design process and managing the same in all IT room premises.
•Preparing & maintaining statistics and reports on uptime and required metrics.
•Handling the Incident and Problem tickets, providing resolution to ensure completion of all jobs within defined objectives.
•Scheduling & managing the maintenance activities of data centers by coordinating with BMS team & vendor teams.
•Troubleshooting production issues and coordinate with other teams to remediate and implement to production in order to minimize impact to customers.
•Experience in managing & updating data center policies, operational manuals, SOP’s etc.
•Protecting important data & Information by performing regular backups/Restores on all critical systems.
•Ensuring 24X7 monitoring of Data Base & Applications and take appropriate action for any issues.
•Maintaining records of all systems administration, operations and present reports to managers.
•Assisting in Carrying out system administration tasks such as software installation/updates, security patches, and hardware maintenance.
•Maintaining precise inventory of tools, equipment and systems of data center.
•Supporting customers on their complaints and solving of technical issues.

Servers: Monitoring performance of servers. (E.g.-CPU utilization, Memory usage, HDD free space).
•Shutdown & Startup of databases and server whenever required.
•Backup of Servers: Using TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) taking backup of Linux, UNIX and Windows Servers
On SDLT, DLT & LTO tape and Restoration of Databases.
•Daily Monitoring of backups on TSM Server and Deleting, updating & adding the Tapes when it required as per the tape Library.
•Supporting users for any issues with there PCs, Applications, network, etc.
•Daily Monitoring of backup from ISC Console if any backups are failed then rescheduled the backup.
•Checking backup Logs on daily basis of various servers.
•Mainly critical Banking Application (FINACLE) process control and shutdown and Startup various databases.
•Constant monitoring of ATM’s transaction & SMS alerts.
•EOD and BOD Process control of various servers and CEOD/CBOD process for main Application server Finacle.
•Backup using Tivoli Storage Manager for over 160 Servers.
•File FTP access and file upload. Database maintenance and monitoring.
•Generating daily reports on servers & monitoring event logs.
•Escalation/Notification to IDBI Bank personnel on any eventualities.
•Meeting the SLA of service calls. Escalations as per the escalation matrix and follow ups with the respective teams to close the issues.
•Collaborating with a team of Software and Network engineers to ensure the security and efficiency of data center server/network.
•Worked in 24*7*365 rotational shifts.
