• Research skills, good understanding of primary, secondary research tools, analytical, and quantitative skills

• Understanding of economic, financial, and general business concepts and terminology
• Good understanding of / exposure to the public sector/ semi-government organizations in the Gulf
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and financial analysis.
• Work on multiple research projects involving market sizing, brand and competitor analysis, writing reports and briefs about core market development. Focus area FMCG with some custom projects depending on the client needs such as packaged food, non-alcoholic drinks, Consumer Health, Non-alcoholic drinks, Retail, Home care and more.
Collaborating with:
Local distributors, Manufacturing companies and FMCG brands
Strategic Alignment -Setting up the HBU HR priorities annually in alignment with ABB and power systems people strategy priorities.
Long-term HR plan for the HBU-
• Ensuring the right people are in the right positions to drive business results
• Building up HBU capability and resource planning for all relevant functional and GM positions under the HBU responsibility
• Supporting footprint topics and exploiting opportunities in new countries.
• Ensuring optimal utilization of resources across the HBU.
• Supporting the HBU Manager in effective organizational design and ensuring the organization management structure in HR Group Tools are up to date
3. HBU staffing and resourcing-
• Where the HBU Manager or HBU Functional Manager is the hiring manager, driving the recruitment process with each country and maintaining a HBU level recruitment report
• Building a sustainable recruiting process for the HBU
• Creating and sharing the HBU talent pool of technical experts, and following up on certification processes (Project Management, Engineering, Site Management..)
• Building the HBU talent pool, and following up on development of key resources identified which would serve as the pipeline of future leaders for LPG/ HBU/ PG/ BU)
4. Change Management, Compliance, People Leadership and Development-
•Supporting and coaching the HBU Manager in change management. Counselling HBU Manager on the most effective solutions to resolve issues and support long-term objectives.
• Implementing Power Systems Step Change HR related activities
• Monitoring adherence to health safety environment and Integrity standards in all areas of responsibility.
• Guiding, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies
On boarding support for all new joiners - induction, company introduction, team inference, document collection
Exit specialist - includes conducting exit interviews, retention strategy, final settlement break up and relieving letter issuance
Market study of roles, pay rates, grade comparisons
Half yearly analysis of market median with the in house company pay rates and leveling inputs shared
Virtual Human Resources Relationship Manager (HRRM) for employees in SCB.
