The aim of the project was to provide test Operations support for Discover’s Production Assurance testing environment. Discover Production Assurance was responsible for maintaining the production assurance test environment up and running and is available to perform the user acceptance testing for the business users before the projects go-live for any releases. Test Operations team supports 7 Major release environments and 5 minor release environments in testing various functionalities used by the business users related to Discover Cards and banking systems. Strong knowledge on Middleware design and take decisions technically that are required for the application and project.
Role:
•Coordinated with Enterprise Architects, Project Managers, Vendors and Developers to define and implemented a Software Configuration Management solution.
•Well-versed with Middleware design and take decisions technically that are required for the application and project.
•Responsible for performance tuning the WebSphere Application Server environments including JVM, connection pooling, web container, EJB container and caching.
•Addressed & resolved issues on time by involving/coordinating the appropriate teams, investigating defects and assigning to appropriate teams for resolution, support batch runs and resolving batch run and environment issues in their assigned environments.
