INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AT MVI USING ABC-FMR CLASSIFICATION AND KANBAN REPLENISHMENT STRATEGY
Project Area: Implementing inventory management, material replenishment and handling strategy for Ring main unit using ABC-FMR analysis and Kanban replenishment strategy.
1. Identify the current Inventory management strategy and identify the gaps.
2. Develop a new strategy based on ABC FMR classification and Kanban quantity.
3. Define Optimum & feasible quantity to be kept in warehouse & shop floor bins.
4. Define MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) based on Lead time, service level.
5. Reducing DIN (Days Inventory) &raw material inventory cost.
Project Area: Production Capacity enhancement of PCOB (Breaker) line
1. Identifying capacity at each work station and elimination of non value added activities done by people working within the process using Timer pro software.
2. Calculation of TAKT time depending on customer demand and production time available. To find time traps and bottleneck processes for line balancing.
3. Capacity calculations and allocation of resources as per requirement.
Project Area: ABC-FMR analysis, safety stock and healthy stock calculations for AIS, Outdoor and component line and automating the analysis process in excel.
