PSPC is a only Security printing organization in Pakistan involves in printing of Bank Notes for State Bank Of Pakistan. It also prints other security documents like Passports, National Identity Cards, Arm Licence and Motor Vehicle registation booklets, Bank Cheques and Degrees of educational institutions. Job involves extreme responsiblilty because of nature of printed stuff.
April 2009 till Date: Working as General Manager Production and Planning. Job specification include planning, organizing, controlling, monitoring and staffing of all production related activities of Other Security Products (OSP) excluding Bank Notes.
Achievements:
1. Successfully implemented and maintaining 5S on shop floor and office blocks.
2. Implemented Lean manufacturing system by minimizing bottle necks and value stream mapping of printing processess.
3. Heading towards Six Sigma target of waste minimization.
4. Implemented Kaizen activites through Quick Win Projects.
5. Practicing FMEA to minimize failure of processes.
6. Implement KANBAN system to seggregate work in process stuff.
7. Develop KRAs and KPIs to monitor performance of individuals.

Balochistan Engineering Works Ltd. owned by Dawood Group is the manufacturer of Automotive Components (engine components and body parts). It produces parts for Yamaha Motorcycles and Honda, Toyota and Dihatsu cars. The machining facilities include CNC Machining centers from Brother (Japan) and Tong Tai (Taiwan), CNC lathes from Takisawa (Japan) and Tong Tai (Taiwan), Semi-auto lathes, Multi-head drilling / tapping machines and special purpose machines.
Responsibilities
•To plan and achieve production targets.
•To monitor production plan and achievements.
•Monitor dispatches to avoid any shortages at assembly plants.
•To ensure smooth operations of plant by properly controlling all ongoing activities.
•Monitor smooth supply of raw material to avoid any emergency in production.
•Monitor the quality of manufactured parts and take steps to control rejections by improving process standards and implementing effective quality checks on production lines.
•Being the executive in charge of plant the responsibility also include handling the grievance of executives, staff and workers and to look after the general administration, maintenance, quality control, stores and production activities.
•Take necessary action to remove complaints from end users.
•Monitor maintenance activities and preventive maintenance schedules.
•Ensure smooth periodical maintenance to reduce breakdowns of machines.
•Ensure availability of critical and non critical spare parts.
•Ensure the profitability of operations by controlling expenses and increasing sales.
•Manage good relationship with Workers union office bearers to maintain peace and discipline without harming management interest.

Responsibilities
Worked as head of engineering department. Independently handled a work force of 50 technicians, 10 supervisors and 4 Engineers. The responsibilities included looking after all engineering activities, i.e.
•Dismantling of all PVC/Nitrile plants and accessories from Dubai factory and re-installing at Karachi Factory.
•Commissioning and then maintenance of installed plants and facilities.
•Installation and commissioning of Fully Automatic Flat Bed Seamless gloves knitting machines (Shima Seiki).
•Planning and execution of schedule maintenance and preventive maintenance of
-500 Flat Bed Seamless Gloves Knitting Machines.
-9 PVC and Nitrile Coating Plants.
-2 x 55 KW Atlas Copco and 6 x 15 KW Ingersoll Rand Air Compressors.
-Chillers and split air conditioners.
-Pumps, Air motors, Mixers, Tumble dryers, Extractors, Stackers, Cargo lifts, etc.
-Fire fighting system including 30 KW Electrical motor and Diesel engine driven pump.
-MV panels, LV panels, Transformers and General Lightings.
•Maintaining the inventory level of spare parts.
•Preparing machine repair history.
•Modification/ Upgrading or extension of existing plants.
Additional Responsibilities (April 2002 to December 2002)
•Worked as Project Manager on construction site of Beltexco Karachi.
•Independently managed all construction related activities.
•Monitored all progress and quality of construction.
•Furnished all requirements of Export Processing Zone Authorities.
•Documentation of project for finance department.
Design and Development
I have also designed, developed and upgraded different machines working on Electro-pneumatic and manual principles for various applications.
Have worked as head of mechanical maintenance department (filament plant). Independently handled a work force of 25 people. The responsibilities included looking after the maintenance of machines like extruders, pumps, chip drying unit, spinning units, take up units (winders), draw twister machines, D.tex machines, blowers, Air conditioning units, gear boxes, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and other machines of continuos process plant.
Projects:
Worked in the erection and installation of the following projects.
- HVAC system for the plant. (Air Handling units and fresh air ducting system)
- “POY” plant of m/s Rieter Automatic.
- Draw twister (Zinser) machines.
- 2 for 1 twisting (RPR) machines.
To look after the maintenance of machines like tablet manufacturing compression machines, coating machines, blenders, blister packing machines, liquid filling machines, mixers, conveyers and other material handling equipment like fork lifters (battery operated and diesel powered), lifts, etc.
Completed Master of Engineering Management with specialization in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering with flying colors. Got Bachelor of Engineering degree (Mechanical) from NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi, Pakistan with 'A' grade in 1993. The course includes all major Engineering disciplines. NED is one of the oldest and most reputable institute of Pakistan having worldwide recognition of its degrees including America and Europe.
