October 10, 2010 to Date: - Professional Development Specialist for USAID -Teacher Education Project (EDC), A project of USAID to build the capacity of the faculty of Elementary Colleges (GECEs) and Universities having BPS 17 -19
• Help identify professional development needs among GCETs; propose training efforts and other measures to be taken to strengthen the pre-service teacher education institutions (and practicum schools);
• Participate in the design of training programs and training workshops for GCET staff and practicum school teachers on a wide variety of topics;
• Assist with the development of training materials and teaching and learning materials for use in GCETs generally;
• Work with the provincial coordinator to develop training plans for concerned GCET and practicum school staff in the province and ensure that these are disseminated to participants;
• Facilitate training with GCET faculty and practicum school teachers;
• Prepare training reports and contribute to preparation of provincial reports and work plans;
• Provide regular follow up, support and mentoring for teacher educators in the participating institutions; communicate progress and concerns to the EDC/Pre-STEP team and seek to resolve any problems with GCET faculty;
• Help establish and support professional networks of teacher educators to share experiences of learning and teaching and to provide peer support for professional development;
• Identify and select qualified local trainers; organize and conduct the training of the local trainers; Supervise and/or conduct the trainings for the GCs and the practicum school teams;
• Participate in monitoring and evaluation activities with GCs in the province and participate in designing and conducting surveys and other studies as required;
• Identify local partners and consultants (NGOs, public and/or private educational institutions, individuals) who may be able to assist Pre-STEP in the province;
• Participate in the development of provincial work plans and program activities;

Material Development: Teaching/learning material, Proposals and Module development: • Teaching/ learning material for Young learners, developed under the agies of Faran educational Society. This was distributed to 250 government schools and more than 200 private schools.
• Developed modules for UEI-ESRA project in the areas of mentoring, reflective practice, role of media, observation feedback and monitoring and evaluation along with other team members.
