Worked with Descon Engineering Ltd. Which is the biggest Engineering / Plant Construction and Manufacturing Company of Pakistan with mega projects in Pakistan and overseas in the Gulf Region as CFO and Board Member at the Group Head Quarter reporting to the CEO.

Responsible for Finance, Accounting, Audit, Risk Management, Banking & Treasury Matters, Strategic Financial goals, Good Corporate Governance and Member of EXCOM. Close supervision of IT system, Commercial, Equipment & Plants Department and Administrative functions.

Designed and implemented the Complete Accounting, Costing and Financial Management Reporting under the Budgetary Control System for the whole Engineering and Manufacturing Businesses. Author of the complete “Financial Control Manual” and implemented throughout in every Division / Business Area and Business Support Departments in the domestic and overseas operations of the Company. Implemented SAP system in every Division / Business Areas and member of SAP Steering Committee.

Very much involved in strategic business decisions making related to merger, acquisition, market reviews and business diversification. Member of various Management committees and overall involved in designing long term and short term business objectives and goals. Closely interacted with international clients, Banks and financial institution.

Headed Altern Energy Limited a public limited listed Power Generating Company of 32 MWatt for four years. It was mother company of Roush Power Ltd, a Siemens Germany and Descon Engineering Joint Venture.

Director Finance & Business Administration ( CFO ) in KSB Pumps Company Ltd. a German Multinational Manufacturing Company listed in Karachi and Lahore Stock Exchange.

Also holding the position of Company Secretary and Executive Director and sitting in the Board.

As Divisional Head responsible for all functions relating to Finance & Accounting, Materials Management, Vendor Development and Out-Sourcing, Credit Control, Administration, Information Technology, Legal and Corporate affairs of the Company.

Core functions of direct supervision were Financial Management, General Accounting, Taxation, Treasury Management, Banking, Auditing, Credit Control, Commercial and Materials Management, Corporate Secretarial and Legal Matters, MIS and Information Technology, Strategic Planning and Organization development plan in line with the Company strategy and objectives, Departmental re-structuring and process re-engineering, and business diversification plan.

REPORTING :
Directly to the Chief Executive Officer in Pakistan and dotted line to the Group Director Finance in Germany.

REGIONAL FINANCIAL CONTROLLER - ASIA PACIFIC :

In addition to local responsibility as Director Finance & Business Administration, I also had responsibility of Regional Financial Controlling of KSB Asia Pacific Region which includes Group Companies operating in Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan and China.

Core functions were supervision of Financial Planning & Management Reporting which include providing guidance for preparation of short term and long term Business plans, Annual Budgeting, Quarterly Forecasting, implementation of Group policies and procedures, effective financial discipline, submission of mid-term plans in line with Group and Regional Business objectives, Development of Financial Controllers and their staff l by local and foreign training etc.

As Regional Financial Controller reporting directly to the Regional President of Asia Pacific based in Singapore.

Worked as Director Finance (CFO) in Gillette (Pakistan) Limited a fortune Multinational American Company which manufactures world class consumer products and reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and Regional Director Finance based in London, UK.

Worked as Head of Finance and Accounts (CFO) & Company Secretary in a Multinational British Pharmaceutical Company W.Woodwards Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd ( a subsidiary of LRC UK plc ) and reported directly to the Chief Executive in Pakistan and dotted line reporting to the Group Finance Director in London, UK.

Started career with Pakistan Industrial Credit & Investment Corporation Limited the biggest Financial Institution of Pakistan and worked in different capacities.

Attended many national and international conferences, workshops and trainings in Asia and Europe.
