Buying and Sourcing
• Liaise with suppliers for samples; coordinate product samples and ensure approval from buyers as per specs
• Make preparation for buyers presentations and range builds
• Provide relevant new line information
• Liaise with suppliers, logistics, merchandising, stores, design services for new line or supplier set up, as and when required
• Implement costs and retail price amendments within the agreed timescales accurately; reconcile all cost changes within the margin report to ensure consistency.
• Maintain a control system for the sample room. - Tech specs, photographs, trim etc.
• Maintain quality assurance control and audit of samples, research fashion trends and prepare bulletins/ mood boards to assist retail buyers
• Co-ordinate and produce the necessary administration for product recalls, as and when required.
• Record and distribute meeting minutes if any.
• Coordination and Follow-up with buyers for Orders, New developments
• Coordination with subordinates, for all the orders, Sampling and New product development, Taking everyday report from them and giving them proper guidance.
• Proper follow-up with the vendor for material
• Working closely with the production team to ensure that the shipments leave in time and with quality
• Proper follow-up with the Buying houses for their samples, Order and other necessary requirements
• To keep a complete status of all the orders executed by the buyer and keep them updated
• Random checking during production & packing
• To take approval from the buyer on any problem during production.
• To plan the itinerary of the buyer during their visit to India.
• Keep Status of the Shipment from Export Department which is already sailed and Keep in touch with the forwarder and CHA during the Shipment and to plan the Shipment.
• Keep checking the Payment after Shipment, Taking care of the Shipment documents and send it to Customer if it is required.
