Industrial Development & Strategic Sourcing is newly established department and it has been established to centralize and streamline procurement strategy including localization. However, the kingdom has targeted the development of the local Engineering, Procurement, and Construction industry and the improvement of its Saudization level. As I am working with Saudi Aramco, I have excellent references within the departments that I have worked at here in Saudi Aramco, specifically the Industrial Development Department. I was instrumental in the development of market analysis in the field of wires and cables, where I submitted to my superiors the current In-Kingdom capacities and capabilities of Saudi suppliers. The IDD organization is currently using this data to help support business development initiatives in the Kingdom to promote localization and Saudi job growth.
