• Responsible for the strict implementation of company’s safety policies and procedures.
• Inspecting various site facilities observing operations and activities, investigating health and safety complaints and ensuring that all work areas, are in compliance with safety legislation.
• Coordinates and consults with departmental heads regarding health and safety issues in their respective areas and recommend corrective actions for any safety violation noted.
• Organise and convene safety training courses, including classroom lectures, demonstrations and hands-on instructions.
• Review accidents and contraventions; and compile recommendations for future prevention.
• Ensure that facilities comply with all environmental regulations, regarding hazardous substance handling and disposal.
• Coordinate and implement emergency procedures, fire fighting policy and first aid facility allocation.
• Plans and supervises the regular inspection and testing of all fixed fire fighting equipment.
• Conduct monthly safety meeting with Senior management team.
• Conduct Safety Orientation to new juveniles.
