Responsible for production, quality, Engineering/maintenance and safety in the 2300MT per month pvc pipe factory and provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operations of the facility.
• Work closely with quality personnel to review product consistency while monitoring scrap rates to determine trends and areas of improvement.
• Review production schedules to maximize production planning and insure inventory is available to meet operations requirements at the optimum levels
• Work closely with the National Supply Chain manager to ensure that inventory doesn't run out and also to ensure finished goods are delivered to customers as per agreed ETAs.
• Work closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Officer to ensure all members of the manufacturing team are aware of safety policies to provide a safe workplace for our employees.
• Analyze workforce requirements and recommend hiring or promotions of staff
• Minimize production bottlenecks; allocate human and equipment resources and direct operations personnel to attain all established goals.
• Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity.
• Management of tools and administration of dies, nozzles and breaker plates and ensure they are kept clean in tools and die stores
• Management of Monthly Stock Take of Raw Materials, Consumables & S.O.H and ensure variances are kept within acceptable levels and any deviations are fully explained to senior management.
• Participate in Root Cause analysis and Corrective Actions emanating from customer complaints, audits, and verification activities as required
