My course work addressed all aspects of safety particularly oil & gas safety international standards.Some of courses or modules include,INCIDENT INVESTIGATION/MANAGEMENT,HAZARDS AND CONTROLS IN THE OIL & GAS,RISK INVESTIGATIONS/MANAGEMENT,INHERENTLY SAFE DESIGN,SAFETY CASES & REPORTS,CONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT,MARITIME HAZARDS,TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS,EMERGENCY PLANNING AND RESPONSE,FIRE IDENTIFICATION AND SUPPRESSION,PROCESS SAFETY,SOURCES OF IGNITIONS AND CONTROL,ELECTROSTATIC CURRENT,HAZARDS OF LOADING AND OFFLOADING,DIVING SAFETY etc.
OSHA 30hr general safety and health covers a number of safety aspects.A clue of the course modules include: h2s safety,ergonomics,reporting incidents,working at height,electric safety,LOTO,permit to work,blood bond pathogens,scaffolding,hazard labeling,hazard communication,walking surfaces,working at height,electrocution,machine guarding standards,confined space entry,hot work standards,record keeping and lots more
Within my three years stay in the department of geography minoring in environmental management,I studied a handfull of courses which make the basis for any health,safety and environmental management.Some of my courses included,man and the environment,environmental impact assessment,natural resource,cartography,remote sensing,survey,sewage disposal,erosion and mass movements,weathering and climate change etc.
