Key Deliverables
• Effectively lead and mange the Internal Audit Function to ensure it adds value to the bank.
• Preparation of a comprehensive Risk Based Audit Plan on annual basis to cover all the activities and functions in the bank.
• Ensure that the audit approach responds dynamically to developments of the bank’s risk profile and strategy and to the emerging risks.
• Deliver the audit plan for Board Audit Committee for review and approval.
• Prepare Internal Audit manpower, plans, on annual basis including knowledge, skills and competences required. .
• Perform half yearly and annual performance appraisal of entire staff and identify development required and training needs.
• Ensure that the internal audit function is properly managed and performed audit work done as per plan.
• Implementing Audit management software to migrate manual audit procedures to Automation Audit Procedures.
• Approve final audit report (s) to be submitted to the line of the management to take corrective actions, and communicate with executive management and Board committee.
• Review bank related policies and Standard Operating Procedures SOP for improvements.
• Assurance provided over compliance to rules, regulations, instructions and laws by authorities and regulators.
• Maintain an up-to-date awareness of the latest techniques and professional audit standards.

Key Deliverables
• Advises the Board Audit Committee (BAC) and Chairman of the Board of Directors on the effective discharge of Management responsibilities by furnishing them with reports, analysis, appraisals, investigations, recommendations, counselling and information concerning activities reviewed.
• Plans, develops and manages ongoing financial, operational, management and Information Systems (IS) Audit activities covering the Bank, its Branches and its offices abroad.
• Plans and schedules all internal audits to examine and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the systems of accounting and management control provided by the Bank to direct its activities toward the accomplishment of its objectives in accordance with the Bank’s policies, procedures and plans.
• Communicates the results of audits with individual departments, management, executive management, Chief General Manager & CEO, the Chairman & Managing Director and BAC.
