Lead local IT integration project team in the acquisition of two Joint venture companies (Soya Bean Crushing plant & Grains Silos in Dekhela port - Alexandria) including rebuilding of all IT infrastructure, implementation of Microsoft GP 10 and Dynamic AX, deployment of corporate IT policies including data privacy and risk controls.

leading the IT operation across all Cargill locations in middle east and Africa, below is a brief description around my responsibilities and duties .

IT Operations : Managing the IT Operations in the Region to ensure a smooth and efficient flow across all locations ( Egypt - UAE - Kenya - Zambia - Zimbabwe - South Africa ), monitoring Inc. resolution times as per SLA agreements and ensure end user satisfaction. Ensure maximum utilizing of Remedy Incident management and reporting tool.

IT Infrastructure : Co-ordinate with country IT Managers to have appropriate IT infrastructure to support business current and expansion needs including change requests, End of life & migration projects for all IT infrastructure components ( communication - Hosting - Storage - Backup - cloud computing - Virtual tech. ) .

Process Documentation & Resources Management: utilize IT resources to Improve utilization of ITSB services; create spare capacity; reduce costs. Align & document business process for similar business across countries ( Crush facilities - Port discharge - grains Trading - Cotton ginneries and tea warehousing ) .

Applications Alignment: Closely look at software inventory across the region, define consolidation opportunities, where can we utilize systems cross Business Units or functions. Deploy ERP applications where necessary to increase productivity, integrate and automate processes where necessary. Finally better utilization of people and systems and ultimately drive down cost.

Technology governance and risk control (TGRC) : Implement corporate TGRC policies and standards across all locations, perform risk audit, issue scorecards to monitor compliance and perform periodical physical walkthroughs.
