I work with Dar Al-handasah in Jeddah-KSA in New King Abdul-Aziz International Airport (KAIA) in Project management and te chnical consultation services.
Member of Technical Coordination Team of the project.
Lead and Responsible for Airside /Landside transportation competence.
I made geometric design for the revised roads using AutoCAD Civil 3D in accordance with Saudi Highway Design Manual MOT and AASHTO.
Reviewed design drawings and shop drawings for Airside and landside disciplines.
Following up the ongoing roads construction on site and handling the construction errors immediately.
conducted the coordination meetings for Airside/Landside fields.
Made the technical assessment of variation orders that’s received from the contractor in regards of roads network and airfield area.

King Abdul-Aziz International Airport (KAIA) is located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. KAIA provides a wide range of existing facilities including three parallel runways, multiple terminal buildings/complexes, general aviation facilities, cargo facilities, a military base, and many miscellaneous support facilities. KAIA has embarked on an aggressive growth plan to expand the airport facilities and completely change the way the airport operates. The project calls for development of many new airport facilities across the airfield, but primarily focused between the existing central and eastern runways. Phase 1 of the KAIA Development Project will accommodate 30 million annual passengers and includes a new state of the art terminal facility, multi-modal transportation center, air traffic control tower, multistorey car parking (8209 stalls), mosque ( 3750 prayers), aprons, taxiways and various support facilities including load center, data center, cargo, ground service, general aviation and related infrastructure including utility corridor and utility tunnel around the terminal. The Airfield comprises 46 contact stands and 28 remote stands which can accommodate for 98 aircrafts in the meantime. In addition to landside roads network consists of 40 KM surface roads include new expressway, arterials, collector roads, facilities access roads as well as 12 KM bridges and 3 KM tunnels which include Elevated passenger access road with curbside viaduct on front of the terminal in addition to employee surface car parking (7187 stalls), rental car parking (1222 stalls), long term car parking ( 4344 stalls), taxi waiting area (749 stalls) and bus waiting area (48 stalls).

-Khafji Interchanges in Dammam-Khafji-Kuwait road - Full four clover leafs interchanges Project.I made detailed design for 2 four cloverleaves interchanges at
-Dammam-Khafji-Kuwait road beside multiple high voltage posts, the challenge was to avoid these high voltages posts and make functional layout plan. I managed to make the detailed design for both interchanges.
-Banban interchange Project.
I worked in geometric design of Banban four cloverleaves interchange near Prince Sultan Ben Abdelaziz Humanitarian City
-Upgrading Hufirat - Nisah Road Project.
I worked in upgrading/rehabilitating Hufirat - Nisah Road in Riyadh to be 2 lanes dual carriageway.

Roads and highway design Engineer

I worked in geometric design of roads, highways and airports using AutoCAD Civil 3D / MX Road / Land Desktop and Dar programs in accordance with AASHTO / Saudi Highway Design Manual (MOT) in a lot of projects as follows:
-Autoroute Est-Ouest - East Lot: Pre-Construction Services, Detailed Design Levelling, Execution Drawings and Local Component for contractor (COJAAL), Review of existing designs, for a 235 km of dual 3-lane toll motorway, comprising 19 viaducts and bridges with a total length of 8.15 km, 3 twin-tube tunnels and one cut-and-cover tunnel with a total length of 5 km, 76 overpasses, 32 underpasses, and 450 drainage culverts. I was part of team of two groups. I provided mass haul diagram to assist in planning the excavation and backfilling during the construction works using Land Desktop / AutoCAD.
-Blaise Diagne International Airport in Dakar - Senegal. Landside roads, Concept, preliminary and detailed designs.I made the preliminary design for Landside roads using Land Desktop in accordance with AASHTO.
-Jeddah Ring Road, Saudi Arabia. Alignment selection, topographic survey, preliminary and final designs for an 83 km 4-lane dual carriageway comprising 15 grade separated interchanges and 6 crossing bridges; 2 new link roads with a total length of 18 km with 2 interchanges and 2 bridges; also comprises the improvement of 15 existing interchanges along Airport East Road in Jeddah. I was a member of design team to finalize the geometric design/ signing and road marking in accordance with MOT along with BOQ (Bill Of Quantity) for all items.
-Shuttle Roads between Muna-Muzdalifa-Arafat - Phase 3, Saudi Arabia. I made the geometric design of shuttle roads between Mina - Muzdalifa - Arafat for Iranian and African pilgrims with shuttle buses parking and pedestrian walkways using Land Desktop in accordance with MOT (Ministry Of Transportation ) Highway Manual Design for Saudi Arabia.
-Jamarat Bridge, Saudi Arabia. Detailed design, technical assistance during construction and supervision of construction for a multi-level bridge structure on a site area of 500, 000 m².I designed the profile for the Ramp to Fourth Floor of Jamarat Bridge during construction on site to serve pilgrims in Hajj season
-New Highway Roads in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Corridor selection, preliminary and detailed designs for 459 km of new dual carriageways in 2-4 lanes (speeds up to 120 km/h), 12 wadi bridges, 2 railway crossings, 30 interchanges of various types and 6 camel crossings in addition to the dualing and upgrading of 63.5 km of roads, and all drainage, landscaping and street lighting works. I worked in geometric design of the roads.
-Mediterranean Gate Master Plan, Tunis, Tunisia. Review of the concept master plan, preparation of a detailed master plan, and detailed design for Phase 1 for the creation of a modern mixed-use, large-scale development on a total site area of 996 ha.
I prepared a detailed master plan, and detailed design for Roads network.
-Princess Nora Bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) project, Riyadh,
Saudi Arabia SAR 40 B. I was leading the design team to make geometric design of Roads network and peripheral roads for Princess Nora Bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) area 800 ha, as well as to make detailed design for Anas Bin Malek Road the main access to the university with two interchanges using AutoCAD Civil 3D / MX Road.
-BRT ( Bus Rapid Transit ) in Lagos, Nigeria.I worked in Lagos area office for coordination between design office and the client LAGOS Metropolitan Area of Transport Authority (LAMATA) conducted weekly progress meetings, following up with the local surveyor to conduct the required survey and prepared technical reports from site.

-Upgrading CAIRO/ALEX./MATROUH Desert road to Free highway LE 2.7 B.
400 KM length with 20 interchanges and service road in both sides of the road. I was group leader of 3 Engineers to produce the geometric design drawings of 400 KM road length with service roads along both sides and 20 interchanges along the road in joint with IBERINSA (SPAINISH CONSULTANT), using Land Desktop in accordance with Egyptian Code for Roads and Highway.

Lab tests for pavement taking cores and analyze using Marshal Test. Following up concrete pouring on site making slump test, take 9 concrete cubes to break each 3 in lab after 7 /14 /28 days respectively to know the strength quality of concrete.
