1Generation specialist Engineer in Generation technical support department
providingTechnical Support for all seven power plants (4, 800MW) of the Southern Region of Saudi Electricity Company.
• Responsibilities include but not limited to:
a. Supporting power plants to increase their availability, reliably and performance with reduced down time
b. Provide technical remote and in field support related to electrical technical subjects, helping power plants maintenance engineers in attending the faults, trouble shooting and coordinate for maintenance schedules and in line maintenance practices with OEM recommendations.
c. Study the technical problems and coordinate with OEMs for resolutions
d. Study for the root cause analysis of faults and suggest the remedy; coordinate for the execution plans for the remedy.
e. Reviewing the fault finding and outage reports, suggesting for better options and practices.
f. Conduct the feasibility and need for various electrical System upgrading /modernization,
g. Act as Project supervisor for project execution and successful completion of the project, resolving the punch list and warranty claims with contractors and OEMs.
h. Managing all technical issues related to accurately securing electrical spare parts(overhaul or operational) linked to various electrical systems for power plants
i. Recommending, Preparing and checking lists of overhaul and operational maintenance electrical spare parts of various electrical systems
j. Giving regular workshops within the company to enhance the technical knowledge of maintenance staff
•Electrical maintenance engineer in SIEMENS PG departement, for operation and maintenance of MIDELEC GAS power station since 2003
Where I am responsible for:
1.Planning and scheduling the routine maintenance work for all the electrical equipments inside the plant, starting from the generator unit, power transformers inside the plant, protection devices, circuit breakers and up to the auxiliary motors and low voltage control panels.
2.Preparing and reviewing all the electrical procedures for the various electrical jobs.
3.Performing all the routine and fault repairing tasks by hand.
4.Participated in two major overhaul inspections on two different gas turbine generators, including the pre-preparation of the required tools and spare parts regarding the generator.
5. Performing six minor outages (8000 hrs) on three Siemens 65MVA generators type: TLRI 86/29
6.Preparing all the technical reports and faults analysis concerning the faults or events that occur inside the power plant or those that are relate to the O.H.T.L
7. Has very good experience with various Siemens numerical relays using DIGSI program
8.Has very good experience with AREVA protection relays
9. 24 hours on call duty
•In Alexandria electricity company, one of the branches of the Egyptian Electricity Company, in the Protection and measurement department since 2001.
Where I was responsible:
1.Carry out and plan the routine maintenance and testing for the protection devices inside the 11kV switchgears.
2.Testing of current and voltage transformers.
3.Fault repair
In STIA Company in Alexandria (for modern textile industry) as a maintenance engineer besides operating and maintaining of medium and low-tension station.
In Philips company as a maintenance engineer for the medium tension station.
