The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. At work in over 40 countries and 22 U.S. cities to restore safety, dignity and hope, the IRC leads the way from harm to home.
As Senior HR Officer I am performing the following roles:
1- Maintaining proper performance management cycle for field staff.
2- Ensuring field staff are adherent with IRC policies and procedures.
3- Coordinating staff development and training with program managers.
4- Communicating the organization's code of conduct IRC Way with staff and respective stakeholders.
5- Enhance employees-supervisors relationships and provide required advice and consultation.
6- Lead and build the capacity of the Field HR Team.
7- Roll out the HR orientation for new joiners.
Joined the IRC as an HR Assistant and gained The Senior Field HR Officer, Field HR support approximately 200 National & International staff along with 300 Volunteers.
As an HR Assistant I was handling the following tasks:
1- Respond to frequent staff requests.
2- Maintain accurate filling system for staff files and documents.
3- Track and follow up on receiving field staff time sheets in timely manner.
4- Collect fully signed documents for the new hires.
Human Resources assistant assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The HR assistant carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organization development, executive administration, and employment.

• Prepare reports on recruitment and vacancy rates.
• Identify upcoming vacancies.
• Coordinate the preparation of vacancy announcements, renew and submit the vacancy announcements.
• Review and screen applications, provide list of applications.
• Coordinate the short-listing and interviewing activities.
• Prepare job offers to successful candidates and reference check.
• Maintain staffing table and related recruitment tracking tools and statistics etc;
• Extract report to monitor a variety of human resources activities i.e. appointment expiration, retirement, re-assignment, transfer and other mobility of staff to ensure timely circulation of vacancies.
