• Taking-off quantities with respect to drawings, Preparation of B.O.Qs, and Rate analysis for each item of work.
• Prepare the draft of commercial proposal of assigned project which covers detailed cost estimate from taking-off of quantities, RFQs, evaluation & negotiation of suppliers/subcontractors proposals, building up cost elements, pricing of pay items in Excel spreadsheet, determine overheads, request tender guarantee; and technical proposal.
• Representing SHADE in meetings (Job-Explanation Meeting, Site visit and pre-contract Meetings) with clients, consultants and other parties with respect to Estimation-related works.
• Review all tender documents (Scope of Work, Drawings, Specifications, Contract, etc.): and prepare Bid Review Report to Estimation Section Head in order for Tender Committee to take decision on "Bid or No Bid”.
• Prepare Variation orders, subcontractor’s payment certificates, Monthly Progress Reports.
• Prepare a complete compilation of all Estimation-related documents of each assigned project which includes original tender documents, all correspondences (letters/emails/faxes), Job Explanation MOM, responses to clarifications, RFQs and quotations, commercial proposals, technical proposals, Method Statements: and, as the situation requires, control and maintain the Estimation Section documents registers.
• Assist (when necessary) in the preparation of, and certifies prior to issuance to the Client, of projects' change orders: and assists the project control/Procurement Department in the evaluation of bids /offers of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Negotiation with suppliers/subcontractors.
• Study of Drawings estimating quantities for Villas and Commercial Buildings.
• Preparation of Bill of Quantities as per the Tender drawings for Bidding.
• Taking-off quantities with respect to drawings, Preparation of B.O.Qs, and Rate analysis for each item of work.
• Preparation of Variations as per client’s instructions.
• Co ordination for the Execution of the work as per drawing and design.
• Make site visits to make measurement on site for actual completed works.
• Analytical skills like Measurement accuracy, Ability to Study all the conditions and scope of work of the Contract to be executed.
