Role— Supervision and technical support for offshore gas lift P/F
Duties/responsibilities
Technical support and troubleshooting assist for shift engineers and shift foremen
Supervise/apply time-based, condition-based and break down maintenance and overhaul activities
Perform bore scope check for gas turbine internals (combustion chambers, turbine blades, air comp. Blades…..etc) to confirm and
improve equipment safety, reliability and availability
Perform laser alignment for platform rotating equipment depending on condition monitoring outcomes
Follow-up P/F and involved equipment status and asset’s KPI’s on daily basis reported by shift engineers
Prepare work procedures, permits, risk assessment and other correspondences related to PTW system
Plan and schedule for PM activates, material handling, manpower, duration and activities to be carried out
Prepare PUR (process-upset reports) for unscheduled S/D’s and other required reports and Participate in failure analysis
investigations along with OEM representatives, if required, to find/eliminate root causes and
Participate in HAZOP and FCP (Facility change proposal) meetings for any changes’ study in the field
Review and plan Overhaul preparation and implementing activities including vendors’ offers, spare parts, man power and reports
Review material stock, develop purchasing requests and update spares specs through Maximo system
Develop and instruct training plans for new engineers/technicians and lead evaluation records
Participate in annual budget development for maintenance and overhauls strategy

Description— Major Gas Turbine Engine overhauls for SULZER S3 heavy duty gas turbine
Responsibilities
Engine complete tear down to the unit center line
Dismantling/Assembling of engine parts (i.e. Gas generator rotor/blades, Turbine blade carrier, hot gas casing, flame tubes…..)
Participate in measurements/Adjustments carried out by OEM rep. such as rotor alignment, bearings stress, tip clearance, balancing.
Instruments check/replacement like bearings RTD's, Exhaust thermocouples, transmitters, switches……etc
Prepare and secure required spare parts needed for overhaul and supervise overall project time frame
Report progress to Turbine dept. head on daily basis

Description— Replacement of fire tube glycol reboiler vessel with electric heater vessel, commissioning and start up
Responsibilities
Review vendor wiring diagrams and loop check for new Thyristor operation panel
Function test for vessel’s protections (Heater RTD’s, Glycol RTD’s, Vacuum transmitter, High temp switches…..etc.
Lean glycol pumps operation test, protections calibration and function test
System pre-start leak test, system circulation check and PID controller parameters adjustment
Role— Operation and maintenance shift engineer for an offshore plant, zone 2 classified, Gas lift operation
Equipment in command
Two units of SULZER gas turbines with output power of 6.4 Mw each work as a prime mover
Two units of SULZER turbo-compressors train as a driven units, each train contains split and barrel type design for low and high pressure compressor respectively both supervised by Bently Nevada vibration monitoring system
Simatic PLC control system, Siemens_step 5 software for control and monitoring the whole plant components
Compressors inter-stage/after-stage coolers and process scrubbers equipped with protection /monitoring instrumentations i.e. pressure, temperature and flow switches and/or transmitters
Glycol de-hydration/regeneration package for gas post-treatment processing
Two generators driven by two aero-derivative Alison gas turbines controlled by Allen Bradly control system, Logix 5000 software
Duties/responsibilities
Continuous monitoring for all platform equipments to ensure safe operation depending on system readings and take necessary corrective actions including S/D, if required
Execute time-based, condition-based and break down maintenance activities considering material, man power and time frame planning. Perform required calibrations for switches and transmitters
Troubleshooting for any unscheduled shut-down related to both, PLC control system and/or mechanical problem
Reporting to turbine dept. Head platform status on daily, weekly and monthly basis

Description— Ramadan 6 offshore complex Rehabilitation project and installation of new YOKOGAWA control system
Responsibilities
Review with REHAB ops. team all Rehabilitation plan within gas lift P/F
Ensure compatibility of REHAB activities with our future activities
Check functionality of new installed equipments and components and proper interface with YOKOGAWA system
Review new P&ID drawings to add any recommendations and/or modifications
Raise REHAB follow-up reports on weekly basis (or as it's required) to Turbine dept. head
January 2014 - September 2014
Description— Upgrading centrifugal turbo-compressor trains (Two units) and modifying compressor seal system (Dry gas seal)
Responsibilities
Check and review new spare parts received by vendor
Prepare required hand tools, special tools, lifting equipments.... etc. required for job
Hands on participation with vendor's field service engineer to carry out the job including:
1. Dismantling and lifting operations for old components and compressor piping rigging processes
2. Installing new compressor components (Rotor, bearings, dry gas seals, transmitters, Vib. probes.....etc.)
3. Performing alignment procedures
Report progress to Turbine dept. head on daily basis about activities done, difficulties found and recommendations to over come
