Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Taking an active role in shaping the current and future direction of the IT
department in line with the bank's growth strategies.
• Defining and meeting service levels for IT operations.
• Making sure the bank meets all regulatory, legal, audit, and agreed internal
and external standards for IT.
• Implementing new IT systems, strategies, and integrations.
• Managing a team of internal and outsourced technical staff.
• Reviewing IT architecture and infrastructure as well as identifying areas
that need upgrading.
• Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems policies and procedures.

• Managing all aspects of IT across all branches.
• Setting strategy and direction for the IT department.
• Create and Manage IT Budgets.
• Ensuring that IT contracts and service levels are negotiated in line with all
strategic aims.
• Manage supplier relationships including cost control and service delivery.
• Support team development through periodic review, mentoring, counseling,
and feedback.
• Monitor the performance of reporting managers and assist in goal-setting,
budgeting and management.
• Perform personnel management duties including performance appraisals,

• Responsible for the functioning of (business) applications & regularly check
the applications and perform maintenance where necessary.
• Test and Implement new and existing applications.

that this documentation is available and adjusted to different user groups.

and installations.
• Responsible for supporting and managing applications during their life

• Set the ICT Strategy and insure the alliance with the overall bank strategy
• Set the annual plan for ICT Assets/Resources and responsible of preparing the IT Budget accordingly

• Administrator for T24 Core Banking System.
• Administrator for Electronic Cheque Clearing, RTGS and ITC systems.
• Keep up to date with the Core Banking System architectural components, transaction processing workflow at functionality and backend objects.
• Investigate found user/system problem by preforming a root cause analysis, verifying by test case scenarios and collecting required data/log to be sent to the vendor for resolution.

• Direct all efforts related to new business requirements gathering for modifications/ enhancements.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resource, system and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Register issues in the vendors helpdesk system by providing detailed information about an issue.
• Help to reporting specialists and software developers to find/confirm a required information sources in Core Banking System database objects.
• Providing remote desktop support.
• Improve the existing infrastructure.
• Instruct new employees about the standard methods used and keep these up-to-date.
• Participate in various IT project teams.
