Assistant Vehicle Trainer/Instructor
Through the use of an interpreter, instructed classes and conducted operator level training for Afghanistan armed forces/police personnel on the DT 530 & HT 530 variations of the International Cargo Trucks, basic techniques for operating the Caterpillar Fork Lift and the All Terrain System Atlas II, The Ford Cargo/Dump Truck, tied down and attachment procedures for the M916A3 and M915 transportation trucks, Light Police Tactical Vehicles, transportation buses, and recovery operations with heavy duty Wreckers. Overall course consisted of classroom instructions, hand and arm signal techniques, Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), hands-on thorough familiarization, driving on all types of terrain and weather conditions and techniques for safety driving. Assessed, graded, and evaluated troops over a period of two to ten week courses on performance measures such as safety driving ability, proper maneuvering and handling of the vehicle, ability to pay attention to detail and follow instructions, ability to obey traffic laws, being able to conduct a proper PMCS, proficiency on how to create a lesson plan, and mental composure under different types of driving situations.

Instructed classes and conducted operator level training for Army/Marines Special Forces and Navy Seals personnel on the RG31A3, RG33 SOCOM Variant A1, RG33L PLUS CAT II, and the Cargo Carrying SOCOM AUV Mine Resistant Ambush Protective vehicles (MRAP) widely used for special operations in OCONUS. Areas of expertise were classroom presentations and hands-on training, tire changing procedures, emergency evacuation, proper water egress equipment use and evacuation procedures, casualty transportation, thorough familiarization of the vehicle, recovery operations, and basic day time and night time driving techniques.

Loaded materials into vehicles and installed strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage to equipment during transit. Conveyed materials to or from worksite to designated area using hand truck or forklift. Assisted in loading or moving materials and products by operating industrial trucks or electric hoist.
Transportation Coordinator-Performs a variety of duties in handling and organizing transportation and activities for the battalion and company and worked under the supervision of the chain of command's Senior Transportation Coordinator. Used excellent customer service skills, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other fellow service members, officers and subordinates alike. Operated motor vehicles to assist in carrying out the business of the battalion's mission intent which ranged from airport drop offs and pick ups, range operations, and other activities that required mass transportation. Operates bus, mini-van, and government standard vehicles (GSA) to transport senior officials to important meetings, activities, and various appointments. Responsible for coordinating daily transportation routes, vehicles used, number of drivers needed, etc., and communicating information to Senior staff. Prepared and organized a daily transportation schedule to ensure the timely transportation of service members to schedule battalion drills and exercises. Provided supervision and direction to other drivers including volunteers, service members going through refresher training, quarterly and annual training events.
