Duties & Responsibilities:
• Meeting with client and provision of legal opinion on various matters.
• Preparation of written legal advice.
• Preparation and filings of a case for litigation, arbitration and enforcement proceedings.
• Attendance of Client, Police Station, Public Prosecution, Expert, Courts ( Dubai courts, Municipality and Dispute center, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Um AlQween and RAK courts), Settlement and Arbitration meetings.
• Registration the Executive issues and follow-up (announcement the respondent, submitting applications) until full execution.
• Preparation of correspondence, reports and materials for presentations.
• Liaising with internal, legal and governmental departments.
• Composition of letters and memos.
• Reporting on status of cases to clients.
• Drafting POAs.
• Legal translation of documents from Arabic into English language and vice versa.
• Legal research.
• Making application to various government departments.
• Review of documents, Sale and Purchase Agreements and Addendums presented by clients at the meetings and advising on a legal course of actions.
• Assessing claim, damages and entitlements of clients with regards to a matter in dispute.
• Drafting Legal Notices and other correspondents.
• Review of Employment Contracts and assessing reasons for termination/resignation and correct procedures for the same and filing the complaints.
• Calculating entitlements to gratuity upon termination of employment contracts, maternity, sick and annual leaves, circumstances and entitlements to compensation for arbitrary dismissal.
• Advising on correct procedure for termination of employment contracts.
• Lodging applications with the UAE Courts.
• Trademark filing and follow-up (Dubai and Abu Dhabi) until the issuance of the certificate.
Settlement Department at ACE: Al Safar & Partners
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Conducting meetings on behalf of clients as individuals and entities in relation to the settlement of various matters, including criminal, debt collection, real estate and bounced cheques matters.
2. Day to day - face to face communications with government and private entities, including developers, banks, police, public prosecution and Courts.
3. Dealing with matters involving unpaid sums under agreements/contracts, assessing loss and entitlement to damages and compensation.
4. Negotiating settlementsand assisting in restructuring of work load, payment schedules, terms of contracts and time of delivery with various companies and governmental departmentson behalf of clients in respect to bounced cheques, real estate, bank loans, mortgages, payment and work schedules under the sub and contractor agreements.
5. Advising clients in respect to the proposed terms of settlement offers, its consequences and effective implementation of the same.
