Worked as Lead Mechanical in the Corporate Technical & Engineering Function for the successful development of a project worth PKR 2Billion. The project scope included setting up 02 Coal Fired Boilers of 45TPH capacity each together with a state of the art Desox system and a 3MW steam turbine for power generation.

- Carried out evaluation of Mechanical Works Bids, Post Bid Clarifications with contractors and finalization & award of Mechanical Contract.
- Played a key role as a Hazard Study Team Member which comprises of a complete six stage Hazard study process.
- Carried out HAZDEM & HAZCON Studies in a team to integrate safety and minimize/eliminate hazards identified.
- Reviewed Risk Assessments submitted by Contractor against the Work Method Statements and ensured compliance with the organization risk matrix.
- Reviewed the Shipment Handling Plan for safe & systemized storage of the Project Shipments weighing approximately 3000tonnes.

Working with the Polyester Business on a project worth USD 10.7M to install 02 Coal Fired Boilers & 15MW Steam Turbine with integrated Utilities & Auxiliary Plants. Looking after the Engineering/Design Review & Project Execution.

Nitric Acid Storage & Transfer Facility at Keamari Port, Karachi
- Worked as Project Lead to develop Nitric Acid Export Facility worth PKR 150M.
- Developed a Budget & Activity Plan Sheet for the project.
- Supervised engineering consultant for Design & Detail Engineering of Civil, Electrical & Instrumentation work of the facility. Resolved all technical queries.
- Reviewed & Improved Mechanical Design Package of the facility consisting of Piping Plans, Isometrics & Part Fabrication Drawings in line with best Industry Practices.
- Developed Scope of Work for Construction.
- Evaluated 02 Stainless Steel Tanks for Fitness of use with change of Fluid Service.

Gaseous Ammonia Supply Facility at CAN Plant
- Lead the Project utilizing in-house resources for Design & Execution.
- Developed Plot Plan, Equipment Layout, Piping Plan, Isometrics, Support drawings & BOQ of the Facility.
- Coordinated with Civil, Instrumentation & Inspection interfaces for completion of overall design.

Nitric Acid Tanker Loading Facility Project
- Developed Plot Plan, Piping Plan, Isometrics, Support drawings & BOQ of the Facility.
- Designed Steel Structure in-house using Staad Pro & carried out load analysis.
- Coordinated with Civil, Electrical & Instrumentation sections to ensure spot-on integration of designs.

Ammonium Nitrate Buffer Tank Project
- Worked as Project Lead to develop AN Buffer Tank & Pumping Facility worth PKR 25M.
- Prepared requisition for Design, Fabrication & Construction of Tank.
- Reviewed Activity Plan Sheet submitted by EPC contractor for the Tank.
- Coordinated with engineering consultant for Design of Civil & Piping work of the facility.

- Worked with ‘K-Plant Engineering Systems Ltd, Japan’ to carry out Detail Engineering of the project consisting of IA/PA Package, Diesel Tank & NG Station, O/U Deaerator, Fire Water Pumping Station, Cooling Tower & Condensate Collection System.
- Prepared Package Document Lists, Piping Layouts, Isometrics & Support Drawings in line with Project Specifications & good Engineering Practices.
- Reviewed & Commented on Mechanical Design of Pipe Racks & UG Piping submitted by ‘Wuhuan Engineering Ltd, China’.
- Supervised Fabrication & Installation of Piping in IA/PA, Diesel Tank, NG Station, O/U Deaerator, Fire Water Pumping, Cooling Tower & Underground Pipeline Areas.

Engineering Reviews & Procurement
- Reviewed Design & Fabrication details of Pressure Vessels & Heat Exchangers in line with ASME BPVC Sec. VIII(Div.1) & TEMA. Coordinated with DESCON Manufacturing Ltd. & AZTECH Heat Exchangers Ltd. for resolution of technical queries during Fabrication.
- Carried out Technical Evaluation/Review of quotations received against Piping Material Requisitions and Special Piping items in-line with Project requirement & applicable International Codes & Standards.
- Carried out Technical clarification/negotiation with supplier of Piping Materials & Prepared Comparative Statement with final recommendation for management approval.
