Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring defined procedures are adhered for Cargo handling activities to meet customer requirements, Cross-dock warehousing and transportation.
Ensuring warehouse activities related to product definitions are aligned and executed.
Developing contingency plans to ensure least risk related to strategic suppliers (transport, manpower, IT support etc.).
Develop effective warehouse space planning, utilization of resources (manpower, forklift and truck) and other warehouse/transport requirements are planned adequately so as to maximize productivity and efficiency in operations.
Monitor and ensure freight recovery from handling agents is completed within the lead time and break-bulk completed and all systems updated accordingly.
Ensure all shipments are stored neatly based on the handling requirement provided
Ensure Warehouse Inventory check is conducted monthly and findings published.
Ensure that deliveries for customers are planned promptly to the instructed locations once Customs clearance is completed.
Ensures that adequate trucks are available to fulfill the delivery commitments and KPIs in coordination with transporters.
Ensure Department Key Performance Indicators are met.
Ensure shipments are offloaded, segregated according to mall/brand/store wise & same loaded into the delivery truck with adequate resources (trolleys & manpower) for delivering the shipments of various Luxury retail brands.
Daily check and follow up of all incoming communications, and check with concerned parties for analysis/action when required.
Ensure that discrepancies (sort/excess/damage) are professionally handled where handling agent, origins and customers are notified and an MDN (Material Discrepancy Note) is generated.
Liaise with Insurance department and external insurance surveyors, for surveys to be conducted for damaged shipments, where required.
Monthly audit conducted on all the MDN raised in order to ensure that those are closed if discrepancies are rectified. Follow-up conducted with involved stake-holders for pending issues.
Assist Insurance & Security department to conduct structured investigation on damages and pilferage.
Update and maintain office files and TMS with necessary records.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for end-to-end Air Import activities to ensure smooth operations.
De-consolidation of Airfreight Import shipments.
Closely follow up for the cargo recovery from GHA.
Ensuring documents are cleared and planned for delivery on timely manner.
Assigning right people in the team to carry out specific responsibilities.
Ensures delivery order is picked on time and shipments are collected without any delay based on priority and within the lead time.
Ensure team member check the cargo properly and stored according to the handing information available on the airway bill or received by mail.
Ensures Material Discrepancy Note raised for all discrepancies observed and system updated accordingly.
Follow up for tracing /short shipments with Airline/GHA and Origin.
Notify the damages / Discrepancy to the customers, Origin and submit preliminary claims with respective airlines.
Conducting warehouse inventory.
Maintains good relationship with subordinates and other stake holders.
Attending Walk in customers and assigning resources for loading shipments into their vehicle promptly.
Ensures Proof of delivery obtained from the customers for every shipments released.
