Has assumed the position on merit as carrier providing a consistent first class personalized service to its customers. The company, having Jardine Shipping Services as agent in the Philippines has maintained its market leadership by being one of the top carriers, both in terms of liner cargo carrier as well as the port coverage in different regions.
Line Manager (April 1, 2012 - June 18, 2012)
Steering initiatives towards achievement of organization goals with chief responsibilities pertaining to Business Development for Outbound / Inbound cargoes for UASC, develop and grow the volume and revenue for the Company and Principal

Reporting directly to the Country Manager
Some of my responsibilities includes: • Interface with principals on all issues / levels
• Strategy Planning, Sales, Market Analysis, Commercial functions, etc.
• Conduct intenstive Market Analysis
• Regular market update to Principal
• Directly procure business, new shippers / exporters / forwarders / logistics companies and consignee / import clients
• Close monitoring / assisting the sales team in meeting the set target implemented by the Principal
• Close monitoring / assisting Customer Service to ensure alloted space are utilized, loadings are closely coordinated with T/S office, ensure shipper's requirements are well attended, etc
• Ensure compliance on all principal's requirements, i.e. system (Trust), reports, etc.
• Regularly monitor competition activities by regularly abstracting information from the market, by attending carrier's meeting and other networking activities.
• Continuously promote and help customers to understand the essence of E-commerce in today's world and the future it has from now on.
• Close coordination with Logistics Dept for equipment availability
• Ensure rate with feeder operators and other suppliers are updated

Majority of my responsibilites are focused on market update to principal, market study for principal's prospect trade and/or service expansion. Sales activities in my assigned accounts and constant management of quality product service delivery emphasis from broad based clients to small and medium clients.

Other responsibilites includes: • Preparation of action plans, strategies to ensure allocations and targets given by principal are met.
• Coordination with Logistics, to ensure there are enough stocks of equipments for export requirements, as well as the right equipments needed by shippers.
• Attends to principal's requirements, disport agents.
• Keeps abreast of the market activities, particularly in terms of competition and pursue updated sales information exchanges with both principals and counterpart agents through all available communications.
• Follow up new leads and referrals resulting from field and telemarketing activities.
• Prepares rate quotations for new clients and updates applicable and prevailing surcharges for established clients.
• Negotiate rates with UASC Pricing Team for our clients rate reductions request.
• Continue identify and pursue new accounts to expand market base.
• Maintain effective rapport with all existing clients and regularly informing them updates on our services
• Identify and resolve client's concerns
• Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, etc.
• Share marketing knowledge to co-empployees to sustain continuous accomodation amongst clients.
