Currently assigned as Health Safety Security and Environment Manager to an ambitious Saudi Aramco community expansion project consisting of 671 units of residential apartments in 13 Buildings including facilities and housing.
• Coordinate safety officers to ensure Office and Community Safety.
• Ensure all Fire safety procedures and equipments are available and communicated.
• Hazard identification. Report and escalation for rectification.
• Assist HSE Manager in planning and organizing safety campaigns.
• Ensure safe events and functions.
• Coordinate Facility Safety inspections, walkthrough and conduct annual HSE audit.
• Lead all Accident and Incident investigation.
• Communicate Lessons learned report and Monthly safety agenda to facility management staff and residents.
• Arrange safety meetings with contractors and client.
• Assist HSE Manager in preparing Emergency evacuation plan and communicating it.
• Arrange Fire and Medical Emergency drill with Saudi Civil Defense Forces.
• Ensure Zero LTI in the project through creating awareness and training.
• Arrange equipment and asset color coding for monthly preventive maintenance.

Critical Risk Control Protocols
• Prepare and communicate Safety policy & HSE Plan to the project management :
• Provide training and HSE induction across all levels of management and workforce.
• Work Permit evaluation of Sub-contractors, preparation(for direct works)
• Preparation of guidelines for SSOW and implementation.
• Hazard identification and Risk assessment for Shaft sinking, Well construction, Entrance and Exit Eye installation, TBM launch preparation, Pipe Jacking, Utility connecting, TBM maintenance, breakthrough and TBM Recovery.
• Ensure all procedures carried out throughout the project is in accordance with the method statement and CEMP (Construction Environment Management Plan)
• Ensure all safety measures are implemented and all required equipment’sviz; Man-basket, SCBA, ELSA, Multi-gas monitors are tested and certified and are in working condition.
• Equipment inspection for Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) and other Heavy Plant for compliance to International Safety standards.
• JSA, TSA preparation.
• Conduct joint safety audits and walkthrough with Tunnelling contractor/sub-contractor.
• Preparations of audit reports and present these during internal and joint HSE meetings.
• Ensure excellence in complying to HSE regulations as required by Prime contractor (EPC)
• Supervise as well as conduct HSE meetings on weekly basis.
• Attend Pre-Construction Meeting (PCM) and sub-contractor PCM.
• Act as the prime interface between the company and client (EPC) for HSE department.
• Supervise rescue drills conducted by HSE officers and Emergency Response Team(ERT)
• Provide Confined space entry, fire fighting and evacuation training to ERT
• Revise policy document, inculcate safety culture among workers.
• Ensure all safety gears are available at worksite.
• Conduct detailed investigations, document the findings and prevent re-occurrence of accidents or near miss by updating the HSE plan if necessary.
• Hiring of Plant and equipments and cross verification of required third party certificates and other relevant docs.
• Obtain third party certification for all major equipments and lifting gears after submission for inspection from Bureau VERITAS, TUV Nord etc
• Preparation of contingency plan.
• Interacting with permit coordinator..
• Prepare proactive measures for Safe working conditions at site.
• Prepare tool box talks based on activities conducted at site on a daily basis
• Conduct trainings to all workers to make them aware of SSOW.
• Prepare checklists, pre-inspection checklists and daily checklists for construction equipments.
• Examine all documents and certificates prior to inducting New equipments, Operators and workers.
• Conduct site audits and walkthrough on monthly and weekly basis respectively
• Participate in all pre-construction meetings with subcontractors as well as clients.
• Ensure no deviation from HSE plan and if any then it is rectified at the earliest.
• Inspection of all rescue items for confined space entry and evacuation.
• Evaluation of entry log sheets and gas tests conducted at sites.
• Ensure LOTO and other tagging systems are implemented throughout the project
• Provide input and support for the safe conduct of work by work personnel during normal and maintenance / shutdowns.
• Proactively encourages all personnel to recognize and embrace safety as the responsibility of everyone and to target zero incidents..
• Monitor adherence to PTW requirements by construction department.
• Ensure all Personnel safety training, PTW, Fire & Safety Watches are complete and necessary valid certificates are available at site.
• Ensure lock-out and tag-out process is strictly observed and practiced for energized equipment and machinery.
• Conduct regular work site safety inspections.
• Conduct daily tool box talks for the concerned set/subset of workers in multiple languages.
• Assist the safety department with policy documentation and display of policy at various locations.
• Accident investigation, reporting, recording and incident reviews.
• Conduct and present different programs like contractor pre-job safety meetings, tool box meetings, fire training, first aid, safe work permit.
• Conduct fire and emergency evacuation drills on a regular basis within the plant and premises.
• Review all contractor lifting plans in advance of execution
• Ensures company PTW procedures and all safety procedures are followed by contractor personnel.
• Ensure PPE availability and usage by sub-contractors and workers.
