Part of the USA based Culligan Global; Zip Industries designs and manufactures large range of products of instant boiling, chilled and sparkling water with various taps in all shapes and colour. Zip also supplies large range of catering products.
Zip has over 850 employees across Australia, NZ, UK, Asia, Korea, China and UAE and maintains product certification for these countries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintaining and implementing Quality Management System ISO9001.
• Establish and implement SOPs (Standard Safe Operating Procedure), Quality Alert and Process flow charts and in house travel sheet to facilitate step by step control of customer specifications for each process,
• Developed processes, policies and procedures for other areas within the department resulting in integrating production and quality assurance processes. Trained department personnel on those processes, policies and procedures
• Monitor product quality target levels to ensure compliance with customer expectations.
• Track and reported quality metrics for the department in a clear and concise manner to senior management to use for performance reviews and bonus recommendations
• Collect and analyse qualitative data and reporting to Operations Director on Production performance, Warranty analysis, Factory scrap, credit return and supplier quality audit.
• Review and investigate customer’s complaints.
• Conduct supplier site and process assessment.
• Support Safety Coordinator in reviewing and Implementing Safety and Environmental System 4801 & 14001
• Implementing of the international accreditation, CQC (China Quality Centre), TUV / VDE (Germany).
• Check and approve new components and new suppliers both locally and overseas.
• Manage and lead QA department, system compliance for the company, support for other departments including Production, New Product Development, Procurement, Service, Customer Care, etc.
• Liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organisation to ensure that the QA system is functioning properly and for all staff to understand how to improve the business.
Management System Auditing - Planning, scheduling and auditing critical procedures and policies in various departments in the company, ensuring the effectiveness and compliance of the system.
Product Compliance & Value Analysis - Maintain integrity of data quality, raw material incoming inspection and performing finished goods testing.
Cost reduction, improving product characteristics and accelerate production processes and scrap reduction.
Warranty Assessment and Reporting - Fault validation of the parts replaced in field, process warranty claims, assess and determine the defect reasons and validity. Report on the warranty summary $cost, and by worst items caused the warranty. Report warranty by internal defects, supplier fault and age of the products.
Supplier Assessment - Planning, scheduling and visiting suppliers auditing their system to ensure they are capable of supplying high quality goods and the critical component are built and tested to agreed specifications.
Data Collection, Analysis and Reporting - Reporting of problems and failures of the essential activities in the business, including Quality observations, scrap value and quantity, warranty failure rate and the Goods return.
External third-party Audits - Organising, assisting and supporting the third-party auditors for conducting their surveillance audits. Identifying opportunities for improvement for ISO 9001; AS/NZS 4801 standard and ISO 14001
