Manager Technical Services for King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC).

The Facility consists of a Research Office Complex, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects of London, and a Residential Community Complex, designed by HOK of Washington, DC.

The Residential Community Complex is the largest project outside of North America to achieve LEED for Homes certification. It is also the largest LEED Neighborhood Development (ND) project in the Middle East.

I used to perform the following duties:

- Monitoring all technical based activities including operations & maintenance, environment, energy, water systems, CMMS and technical documents control.
- Evaluating and approving recommendations related to technical services
- Monitoring and performance indicators evaluating contractor’s delivery of services as per contractual obligation.
- Technical assessment for the emergency preparedness and readiness related to technical systems and evaluation of recovery efforts in the event of a system failures.
- Accountable to maintain LEED certification.
- Reviewing and approving annual Environmental Program, Energy Management Plan, and Life Cycle Plan.

Mechanical Engineer in Plant Engineering Department at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC).

AUBMC is the only medical institution in the Middle East to have earned four international accreditations: Joint Commission International accreditation (JCIA), the Magnet recognition program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, the College of American Pathologists accreditation (CAP), and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education - International (ACGME-I) .

I was responsible for the HVAC and Mechanical services as follows:

- Handling the HVAC services involved monitoring and inspecting the workflow of the operation and maintenance of water cooled chilled water plant, cooling tower plant, absorption chiller plant, air handling units, fan coil units, and their related network and equipment.

- Handling the mechanical services involved monitoring and inspecting the workflow of the operation and maintenance of all mechanical plants and systems; such as domestic water plant, soft water plant, reverse osmosis (R.O.) plant, medical compressed air plant, liquid oxygen plant, vacuum plant, steam plant and hot water plant, with all the related networks.

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of electro - mechanical services and utilities for Dr. Erfan and Bageddo Hospital in Jeddah

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center Jeddah (KFSH&RC-J) was opened in 2000, and achieved the Magnet recognition program certificate from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, in addition to the Joint Commission International accreditation (JCIA) in 2002, being the first Hospital to receive such credentials in Saudi Arabia.

I was the Mechanical Section Head responsible for the operation and maintenance of the following Plants and their related Systems:

- HVAC services, which included total of 14 chillers 400 TR each, 68 air handling units, 950 fan coil units, 24 cold rooms, and 62 medical refrigerators and freezers.

- Water treatment services, which included domestic water plant, reverse osmosis plant, hot water boiler plant, and steam boiler plant. I had to do extensive readings to acquire the knowledge of WHO codes and standards, infection control standards and NFPA standards.

- Plumbing services was part of my scope responsibility. It included all water lines like firefighting systems and network, potable water system and network, sewage system network, and storm water network.

I used to perform the following duties;

- Supervision on the daily maintenance and operation of mechanical services. I used to follow on corrective, reactive, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Analysis of key performance indicators related to pending work orders and preventive maintenance activities.
- Maintaining the requirements of the Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) and Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) standards and codes.
- Liaise with hospital management and coordinate with end users to understand their expectations and their needs and evaluate the service satisfaction.

Responsible of Royal Guards Restaurant Rennovation. Works include:
- Removal and installation of 2 chiollers and 17 rooftop central units
- Installation of new plumbing system (waste water pipelines, cold/hot water pipelines, rain water pipelines…).
- Installation of new kitchen equipments.
- Planning/scheduling and work progress monitoring.

Quality Control on the execution of 2500 tents. Works included:
- Upvc and Galvanized Iron pipelines installation for fire fighting and desert Cooler networks.
- Desert Coolers and relative Ducts installation
- Fire Fighting Components installation, including fire automatic sprinkler system, fire hose cabinets and fire extinguishers.
- Preparation of ME materials bill of quantity.
- Follow up of materials delivery on site with suppliers.
- Preparation of submittals with the consultant.
- Preparation and follow up of site inspection with the consultant.
- Responsible of all Mechanical Maintenance Works before and during Hajj, leading 256 plumbers and HVAC technicians

- Visiting the main office and factory in Amman - Jordan for two weeks as to be introduced to the field of designing and manufacturing of air-conditioning/refrigeration units.
- Tendering Hotels and Building center Projects in Beirut Commercial Center.
- Designing water services supply for buildings.

Serving as a lieutenant in the Automotive shop in Saida

Reviewing shop drwanings and supervising the construction of Ball and Raw mills, Conditioning and Heater Towers…
