Taisei - Vinaconex Joint Venture (TVJV) is the Main Contractor at Noi Bai International Airport Terminal 2 Construction Project. I am working at MEP Section - Terminal Equipment Division, which handles equipment dedicated for Airport Terminal like Baggage Handling System, Airport Security System, Passenger Boarding Bridges, Airport Information System and Docking Guidance System. Since I joined TVJV, my responsibility is:

1. Engineering:
- Terminal Equipment Divison has 4 Sub-Contractors:
+ Vanderlande Industries: Provide Baggage Handling System
+ ShinMaywa Industries: Provide Passenger Boarding Bridges
+ Jalux Inc.: Provide Airport Security System
+ Arinc Incorporated: Provide Airport Information System and Docking Guidance System
I control Sub-Contractors’ submissions and fabrication progress.
- Check all submissions from Sub-Contractors such as material approval, shop drawing, method statement and make sure they are fully complied with Tender Specifications and Tender Drawings. Then submit them to Consultant to get approval.
- Issue Request for Information and Letter to Consultant and Owner.
- Coordinate with other Section (MEP and Building) in order to control Sub-Contractors working properly and finish on time.
- Check as built drawings from Sub-Contractor and hand-over systems to Owner.

2. Site work:
- Monitor and supervise Sub-Contractor working daily on site.
- Collect report from Sub-Contractor regarding progress, working coordination, safety and report to Section Manager.
- Notice to Sub-Contractor when they have any non-conformance issue on site. Make sure Sub-Contractors implement systems on site with good quality and safety.
- Arrange internal inspection with Sub-Contractors and inspection with Consultant until Consultant approves all items.

Besides, I also join other electrical works such as:
- Check Shop Drawings according to Project Specification and site conditions.
- Check Manufacturer and Material Approval document.
- Check Method Statement to implement and install system.
- Check Interface Control Document in order to get proper interoperation between all systems.
- Monitor the system installation works base on Overall Schedule, Sub-Contractors’ Schedule, Weekly Schedule and Monthly Schedule.
- Control quality of work.
- Coordinate with other teams (Building, Mechanical teams…) to avoid and resolve all unnecessary clashing.
- Testing and commissioning.
- Carry out inspection.


3. Defect Notification Period:
- Review the system maintenance schedules and monitor the Sub-Contractor’s maintenance activities on site.
- Coordinate between Airports Corporation of Viet Nam, Noi Bai Terminal Operation Centre, Project Management Unit Terminal 2, Japan Airport Consultant and Sub-Contractors to maintain systems running properly.
- Check, evaluate and propose method to resolve all the troubles happen during operation.
- Make monthly reports and distribute to all related parties.

Niem Tin Co., Ltd (NTC, 6&8FL, 142 Doi Can, Ba Dinh, Ha Noi). I'm a member of Technical Implementation Department (TID), my responsibility is:

1. Engineering:
- Check Tender Specification and Tender Drawing and propose Building Management System (BMS) solution.
- Prepare shop drawings and equipment schedule used for BMS construction work.
- Coordinate with Purchasing Department to order and delivery equipment to construction site.

2. Site work:
- Do site survey and implement BMS installation, testing and commissioning.
- Setup control software, configure controller, design graphic and code automation control program.
- Meeting with Owner, Consultant and solve all requirements.
- Manage Site Engineers and workers during construction period.
- Collect report from Site Engineer, analyse and coordinate with other Contractors on site in order to implement BMS properly.
- Prepare weekly report to Directors and Managers about progress on site.
- Inspect material, installation work, system integration with Owner and Consultant.
- Training and Hand over system.
