• Leading a team of 9 Accountants, mentoring and assessing staff performance.
• Mapping and updating of 42 finance procedures and 2 policies of sales finance in order to adapt the best practices, improve the efficiency of business processes and internal controls.
• Reviewing the quarterly audit file in order to validate the financial statement balances to ensure it is in line with the IFRS.
• Travel within Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries to visit 82 sales depots (dairy, bakery and poultry depots) of the company to perform financial policies & procedure compliance reviews and training of location finance staff on a yearly basis.
• Preparation of management review reports for after completion of compliance reviews; highlighting deviations from established procedure & policies and forwarding recommendations to improve controls and practices at the sales depots.
• Review/prepare of Internal Control Alerts for frauds and incidents along with preventive action and circulate to the management as a part of information sharing across the company.
• Review/Prepare of monthly management reports such as internal control, cash shortage, non compliance notes, fake note, ICA analysis report etc. on a monthly basis for the circulation to the senior and middle management.
• Perform quarterly audits on stocks of various divisions as part of an exercise to verify stock balances against the system balance.
• Planning the objectives to achieve the KPIs and ad hoc assignments with the required time frame.
• Processing of withdrawal applications of Project Management Units
• Assisting Project Officers in field visits of ADB financed projects located in Sri Lanka.
• Validating and processing of project consultants monthly remunerations as per the agreement and liquidation of cash advances taken.
• Assisting in preparation of project completion reports of ADB financed projects submitted by government institutions.
• Prepared, negotiated and obtained approval for the annual budget of the mission which exceeds USD 1 million.

• Prepared and maintained accounting records (Accounts Payable & Receivable) of the mission in the ADB accounting system using the Oracle platform.
• Handled and ensured smooth transition of accounting systems from a customised stand alone system to a centralised oracle based accounting system.
• Prepared and submitted monthly reports to the controllers department in HO.
• Preparation of ad hoc management information for decision making such as cost benefits analysis & feasibility assessment on new office premises.
• Preparation of tax reimbursement (USD 200000) statements and follow up reimbursements from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• Procurement of goods and services as per the guidelines of the Bank.
• Manage and maintain the fleet of the mission and insurance coverage.

• Responsible for the issuance and collection of Safety and Communication equipment for staff when travelling to high risk areas.
