Implement & monitor the Client Key Health, Safety & Environment requirements and requirements as per
OSHAD System Frameworks, Abu Dhabi.
Ensure the HSE roles and responsibilities for each project team position, key contractor and vendor
positions are established and communicated.
Provide specialist advice and support to senior management regarding the management of work place
hazards and risks.
Ensure OHS performance monitoring system is in place to ensure the effectiveness of injury prevention
and effectiveness and risk management policies and procedures.
Directing the contractors in respect of HSE standards and levels of HSE standards required in connection
with the works and together with the Client Key HSE requirements.
Ensure compliance by all parties with company’s HSE requirements and regulations and all relevant
legislation and statutory requirements, including all laws, rules and regulations (as amended from time to
time) of the governments of the U.A.E.
To coordinate with the contractors and to provide necessary statistical information to the client.
To evaluate and approve the HSE Plans of the contractors. Review the contract documents for
Construction Packages in respect of Safety requirements and procedures.
To evaluate and approve the Method of statements and Risk Assessments of all activities.
To review contractor’s HSE records and documents.
To interview and approve the contractor HSE staff prior to their commencement on the project.
Take lead in Organizing and conducting weekly HSE coordination meetings and participate in weekly
progress meetings.
Closely monitor site activities on a daily basis issuing non-compliance reports where necessary and
informing Project Director / Resident Engineer.
Ensure an HSE Audit Process and Plan is developed and implemented. To conduct periodical H.S.E
Audits based on contractual requirement of the project.
Conduct and Participate in Client's HSE audits for Contractors and Sub Contractors.
Conducted HSE training programs on HSE topics to all the PMC & Supervision staff as and when
required.
Take lead role in the incident investigations. Identified the root cause and ensure the corrective and
preventive actions are effectively implemented to prevent reoccurrence of incidents.
Coordination done with concerned groups for Emergency Preparedness Plans.
Participate in Emergency Response Team Coordinator during major accident, emergencies and drills.
Prepared Health and Safety statistics and presentations that reflect site Health and Safety performance
indicators and highlight areas of improvements and report to the Client and Resident Engineer.
Health & Safety Compliance (OHSAS 18001:2007)
Devising the Safe Plan of Action for all activities carried out in the Project site.
Ensuring strict adherence to all the specified systems & procedures and HSE plans as per OHSAS
18001:2007 standards, local governing authorities.
Identifying activities and processes which are hazardous and undertaking steps for curtailing associated
risks.
Monitoring the safe use and storage of Personnel Protective Equipment’s.
Ensuring and monitoring regular health check-up of employees involved in hazardous activities, as well
as third party inspection for lifting tools and tackles, lifting equipment’s.
Conducting regular inspections of site for unsafe acts and conditions and advising improvement safety
measures considering the same.
Investigating all incidents, occurrences and LTI in coordination with Incident Investigation Team.
Played a role of Lead Internal OHSEMS Auditor for implementing OHSE Management System as per
OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2015. Conducted over 75 nos. Audits for Project sites, labour
Camps, HR function and Subcontractor Management.
Conducting and Ensuring the:
Periodical inspection of ladders, scaffolds, equipment’s and machineries.
On- Site Emergency Mock up Drill on identified emergencies.
Risk assessment for all routine and non-routine activities.
Preparing and maintaining:
The weekly and monthly HSE statistics, staff & subcontractor HSE performance monitoring
reports, first aid reports, near miss reports and accident reports, Environmental Aspect Impact
monitoring report etc.
Compilations of documents/ reports for Statutory Compliances, Legal verification register.
Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015)
Devising result-oriented measures for conserving natural resources like power, water, paper & fuel as per
ISO 14001:2015 standard.
Conducting environmental aspect & impact assessment, waste management programs.
Coordinating with external surveillance auditors as well as conducting internal audits for initiating relevant
actions in any case of non-compliance with the norms.
Monitoring the level of air, noise & other environmental aspects and initiating need-based measures in case
they supersede the pre-set parameters as per local governing authorities.
Overseeing the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely.
