Presently working as Supervisory Senior in the Advisory (Risk) Department of KPMG (Pakistan; Lahore office); during my training period, I had been involved in various types of assignments relating to Internal Audits, Gap Analysis, Manual preparation, Review assignments and other related assignments in different sectors such as Manufacturing concerns, Financial Sector and Government sector etc. The following are the major tasks; I had been performed during working at KPMG:
My responsibilities and key activities undertaken are as follows:
•Initial job planning, identification of control risk, designing of mega major sub process (MMS) and key risky areas during the internal audit/ Gap assignments
•Knowledge of effective governance, processes, controls and the experience of Risk Management, control activities, mitigation and remedies.
•Extensive knowledge of business process, Operational process and process analysis including Sales & Debtor management, Marketing, Purchase to pay (P2P), Financial statement closing process (FSCP), Inventory management, Production, Capital expenditure (CAPEX) and Human resource (HR) etc.
•Having the Experience of COSO framework, data analytics, computer assisted audit techniques (CAATs), internal controls, Corporate Governance and financial reporting.
•Participate in assessment process of control risk and designing the Test of Control (TOC) for specific areas in consultation with the engagement Senior Executives and to highlighting the issues/ important matters.
•Designing and preparation of documents for internal audit assignments as per KPMG Internal Audit Methodology i.e. Transaction Flow diagrams (TFR), Risk and Control Evaluation (RACE), Test of controls (TOC) of different operational and financial processes. I had also been involved with clients in the initial and final audit meetings.
•Participation in client meetings with Engagement Manger to discuss the various accounting/ other issues/ matters identified during the assignment and also involved in taking meeting minutes/ meeting notes.
•Application of GREG and Columbus (An audit methodology of the firm).
•Knowledge of the International Financial Reporting Standards IFRS/IAS and International Standards of Auditing (ISAs).
•Participation in preparing the Management Letter/ Internal Audit findings and recommendation report for the client.
•Participation in project Management related to budget, time and cost Management.
•Participation in helping the on Job new staff.
•Liaison at various levels of client management to maintain and manage cooperative relationships.
