I’m responsible for all logistics operations in Afghanistan, Africa & Middleeast. I supervise client services & pricing/bidding divisions. I handle all road & air shipments in Afghanistan and manage customs clearance for all inbound & outbound US Military/ISAF/NATO/NGOs/Commercial Shipments.
Company also deals in trading of metal commodities (both Ferrous & Non-Ferrous). My responsibilities include:
- Focusing on improving operations and cost reduction
- Building and maintaining strong & long-lasting customer relationship
- Developing profitable business relationships with new business partners
- Managing customer issues regarding operations, sales and service quality
- Focusing on growing and developing existing clients
- Communicating customer requirements to all necessary departments
- Maintaining tight budget control over expenditures
- Identifying short and long term growth opportunities
- Keeping up to date with LME prices and local market prices
- Be the company spokesperson & direct contact with clients
- Team lead for all UN Tenders/projects and FBOs for Afghanistan & Africa region
- Handling accounts of LGL (Liberty Global Logistics), Globalink International, Transgroup, Farrell Lines
- Managing issues related to EITV Devices (Commissioning, De-commissioning, timely placements, managing Inventory at different CHYs and monitoring in-transit cargo for absolute visibility)
- Planning of operations and execution, preparing budget and monitoring expenses for each movement. Coordinating with finance dept. for timely payment to vendors
- Pricing and business development for Afghan Transit PAKGLOC and Intra-Afghanistan movements
- Organizing documentation system for all shipments
- Handling of Customs Clearance for all inbound/outbound/US Military/ISAF/NATO/NGOs/Commercial Shipments
- Maintaining In-transit Visibility Reports (ITV) of Kandahar, Kabul, Jalalabad, Bagram, Mazar-e-Sharif and other FOB’s for all inbound and outbound movements
- Coordinating with Peshawar, Torkham, Kabul, Chaman, Kandahar and Quetta offices, ensuring all offices strictly adhere to provided SOPs and report accurate on-ground updates of shipments
- Coordinating with Government Authorities for preparation of Tax Exemptions
- Coordinating with border agents
- Yard management and inventory control
- On-ground supervision of QA/QC process for inbound/outbound/US Military/ISAF/NATO/NGOs/Commercial Cargo
Achievements:
- Visited several war zone areas in Afghanistan and Africa to manage on ground operations and promote business
- Successfully handled movement of over 3000+ cargo in Afghan Transit
- Resolved all pending documentation issues of the company with Afghan Customs and avoid massive penalties

Internship at MEGA & FORBES GROUP, MOTOROLA DIVISION from January 27, 2009 to March 17, 2009 in Accounts Department. During Internship I reconciled complete inventory with the data record in accounts and reconciled data pertaining to outstanding debtors. Achievement: I was offered permanent job based on my performance during internship.
