➢ Perspective planning, market research and demand forecast for industrial products and traffic projections at ports. ➢ Feasibility studies & project reports including techno-economic appraisal of industrial / infrastructure projects (greenfield installations, revamping, modernisation & expansion of existing plants / brownfield projects for financial/funding institutions, Government agencies & project authorities) . Such appraisals carried out for projects in various sectors including mining, beneficiation & agglomeration, iron & steel, oil & gas, chemicals, refractories, general engineering, power plant, oxygen plant, ports, etc. ➢ Assessment of investment cost, generation cost and determination of levelised tariff of power plants. ➢ Preparation of tender documents/RFQ, pre-qualification of bidders & bid evaluation. ➢ Social cost benefit analysis for steel / port projects employing shadow pricing techniques / established OECD / UNIDO models. ➢ Techno-economic evaluation of probable sites for locating steel projects based on life cycle costing employing discounted cashflow technique. ➢ Techno-economic evaluation of various technological process routes / options for coke making, iron & steel making, casting & rolling of steel. ➢ Domestic Resource Costing (DRC) and Imputed Economic Values (IEV) for industrial inputs including iron ore and natural gas. ➢ Assistance to client for sanction / clearance of projects from Govt. agencies / Financial Institutions including preparation of Board note / PIB note etc. ➢ Preparation of tender documents, pre-qualification of bidders, bid evaluation including evaluation of financing packages and contract negotiation. ➢ Rehabilitation / revival / health studies on sick industrial units including restructuring turnaround strategies encompassing technology upgradation, diversification / optimisation of product-mix, cost reduction through new technology infusion, organisational / financial restructuring and improvement in overall plant viability. ➢ Techno-economic study of Joint Venture Proposal for improved overall economic performance of concerned organizations. ➢ Technical due diligence cum techno-economic viability (TEV) study for industrial enterprises. ➢ Study on synergizing the business operations of two organizations. ➢ Due Diligence-cum-Segregation Study for hiving off steel plant sub-units viz. oxygen plant, power plant etc. ➢ Valuation of fixed assets of industrial units in sectors like mining, beneficiation & agglomeration, iron & steel, non-ferrous, oxygen plant, power generation, transmission & distribution, chemical plants, refractories, sugar mills, spinning mills, general engineering, shipyard, port, township etc. including technological survey, assessment of condition & residual useful economic life, reconstruction of asset register (as needed) and revaluation exercise employing suitable techniques like replacement cost method, earning capacity or capitalisation-of-income method, salvage value or scrap value method. ➢ Business valuation of industrial enterprise. ➢ Fixation of Reserve Prices for disposal of idle plant assets employing appropriate valuation techniques, saleability considerations and S-curve probability model. ➢ Componentization of PPE, residual useful life assessment / assessment of residual values for compliance as per "International Financial Reporting Systems (IFRS) ". ➢ Formulation of pricing mechanism for long term supply of industrial inputs. ➢ Corporate planning including SWOT analysis, business forecasting, human resource & technology planning and formulation of corporate strategies. A member / convenor of the task force team on Corporate Vision Plan of MECON (consistently involved since 1991 till date) ➢ Formulation of Comprehensive Growth Plan for Industrial Enterprises taking into account market prospects, capacity augmentation & product-mix optimisation for their improved overall economic performance. ➢ Formulation of Business Plan for Industrial Enterprises taking into account macro-economic analysis / business segment analysis, diversification options etc. ➢ Formulation of Vision Plan for Corporate Entities. ➢ Sectoral long range planning including I/O norms in steel sector- Planning Commission. ➢ Organizational succession planning. ➢ Steel sector study in India including market scenario, process options & price / cost structure for Asian Development Bank (ADB), Manila.
