Provides variety of supportive, non-clinical, patient care duties. Assist the RN and Midwife in needs in L&D unit and performs all other duties as required or assigned by the midwife/RN.
ü Follows the DHA guidelines for the HCA role.
ü Assists the Midwife or Registered Nurse in personal care procedure to patients including feeding,
bathing, dressing, skin care; provides such additional help as required to meet the personal needs
and comfort of assigned patients and her baby.
ü Assist mother in breastfeeding if assigned by RN.
ü Assists the nurse in the transportation of the baby if necessary.
ü Attends room-in patients, assist parents call and other needs as required and assigned by the RN.
ü Moves equipment from one area to another as assigned by the nurse.
ü Assist in transport of a discharged to his/her vehicle.
ü Picks up urgent medical records and X-ray folders and/or return them to the appropriate
department when assigned.
ü Picks up and deliver supplies if necessary.
ü Stocks and replenishes supplies and equipment required.
ü Maintain confidentiality in all maters related to Al Garhoud Private Hospital.
ü Works cooperatively with all the staff within the Department of Nursery and NICU.
ü Adheres to all DHA, JCI and Al Garhoud Private Hospital policies and procedure.

ü Coordinate in the delivery and distribution of linen in the unit.
ü Assist in the maintenance of ward cleanliness and tidiness and adhere to infection control policy
and procedures all the times. Cleaning the departmental medical equipment daily or between cases.
