Position: QA/QC Engineer
(Reporting to QA/QC Manager, Projects Manager)


Projects Handled

• Replacement of underground pipe line with new 10" pipe from berth to tank farm - GULF OIL- Jebal Ali
• Refurbishment of ULG import pipe line and support section - EMARAT PETROLEUM- Sharjah Terminal
• Internal cleaning, Inspection and pressure testing of foam tanks - EMARAT PETROLEUM- Sharjah Terminal
• Inter Tank LPG transfer line Modification - ADNOC LPG plant Abudhabi
• Installation of gas oil tank, suction pump and related piping - ADNOC, R A K Air port Terminal
• Margarine plant utility supply and installation - EMIRATES REFINERY COMPANY, Sharjah
• Air Compressor installation and related pipe line - EMIRATES REFINERY COMPANY- Sharjah
• Replacement of 10" Import pipe line - Emarat sharjah Terminal.
• Replacement of underground pipe line- DOW chemicals
• Conversion Of Tanks & and associated piping modifications-Emarat
• Fabrication & Erection of Tanks and Associated Piping works- Total Lubricants

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Handling all Quality Control Inspection and Quality Assurance Documentation pertaining to projects.
• Preparation of Inspection Test Plan (ITP), Project Quality Plan (PQP), Project Method Statements (PMS), according to project requirement.
• Conducting Welder Qualification as per ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1 and monitoring their performance.
• Co-coordinating with NDT Sub-Contractors for conducting different Non-Destructive Tests like Dye-Penetrant Test, Magnetic Particle Test, Ultrasonic Test and Radiographic Test and reviewing their test reports.
• Witnessing of different destructive test like Tensile Tests, Bend Tests etc
• Supporting QA/QC Manager in the preparation of Welding Procedure Qualification (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) and Welder Qualification Test Records (WQT)
• Reviewing of Sub-Contractor's Quality Procedures and Reports and Monitoring of sub-contract activities at supplier's works.
• Preparation of Hydro test packs for Hydro Testing and witnessing the same.
• Preparation of QA/QC Dossier after completion of the project, as per Client requirements.
• Stage Inspection of Blasting/Painting.
• Reviewing of Data Sheets for valves, Instrumentation items, pipes etc and preparation of Technical submittals to Client for approval prior to placing of order.
• Maintaining NC (Non-Conformity) records - And Investigating the NC, Monitoring the Corrective actions & supports in Implementing Preventive Measures.
• Coordinating Third party welder Test, issue TP welder certificate & welder's revalidation record.
• Final Inspection of completed products and prepare IRN (Inspection Release Note) for dispatch.
• Product conformity is maintained by issuing/recording certificates such as Inspection & Test Plan (ITP), Incoming material Inspection Report with MTC, Product Build up/Inprocess Inspection Report-Fabrication, Welding Inspection report, Dimensional Report, Paint Coating Inspection Report, Load Test Report, other additional test reports.

Reliance Petroleum Ltd - Gujarat comprises of a petroleum refinery and associated petrochemical plants. The refinery is equipped to refine various types of crude oil (sour crude, sweet crude or a mixture of both) and manufactures various grades of fuel from motor gasoline to Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF)

Project Consultant: BECHTEL FRANCE
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Inspect Fit up of pipe joints and prepare Fit Up and Weld Visual report.
• Handling the specification of BECHTEL FRANCE in material class, etc.
• Witness to Nondestructive testing of pipes, piping welds, especially Ultrasonic testing (UT), Radiography testing (RT) . Dye penetrating testing (DPT) . Magnetic particle testing (MPT)
• Conducting a welder performance qualification test as per ASME Sec-IX.
• Preparing Welder Performance Qualification Record (WPQR) and welder ID card based on the NDT results and Monitoring welder performance
• Welder repair percentage analysis and tool box talks for welders to control repair percentages
• Monitoring of Welding Parameter as per respective WPS.
• Line History Sheet and Loop Clearance as per Isometric Drawing.
• Witnessing of Positive Material Identification and in-situ hardness testing.
• Radiographic film interpretation
• Inspection of Hydro test.
• Insuring test certificate of all consumables.
• Witnessing of wrapping-coating of field weld joints and Holiday Test.
• Reviewing of welding procedures specification (WPS) and procedure qualification record (PQR)
• Witnessing Hydraulic and Pneumatic test of Piping Loops.
• Witnessing and monitoring of Preheating, Post heating and Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) of low alloy steel welding.

Skills
➢ Knowledge in Construction Drawings such as P&ID, Piping Isometrics Equipment, Structural and GAD.
➢ Familiar with Material Inspection, Dimensional Check and Documentation as per Construction Material Standards Such as ASTM/ASME/SA 106, SA 516, SA 515, SA 312, SA 240 etc. Also ANSI standards of B31.3, B.16.5, B.16.9 etc
➢ Thorough knowledge in Welding Standards of ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1 and AP1 1104.
➢ Familiar with Welding Procedure Qualification, Welder Qualification, P Numbers, Selection of Electrodes, Weld Visual Inspection etc
➢ Good knowledge in Radiographic Interpretation of Weld Joints, Ultra Inspection, Magnetic Particle inspection, Penetration Test, Reporting and Documentation.
➢ Fabrication of Piping, Structure, Pressure Vessels and other Equipments, Documentation of Line History Sheet, Test Pack Clearing.
➢ Confident to handle the Construction and Quality Control Activities as specified in the drawings and applicable standards and specifications.
