Training in the Video Transmission Department: How it works, and the programs used...
-Topics covered: PSTN and its Access Network, WLL, technology and its components such as RNC, DRA, RSNM, FAU. The topics also included the history and networks structures, switching technology as well as the ADSL.
-Practical Project: Performing the installation, maintenance and testing of the cabling system including the aerial and underground cables, the ADSL network and ADSL modems. The performed tests stressed on :
-Outside cabinets and terminal blocks.
-Installation and testing of subscribers' lines at Outside Cabinet.
-Electrical test (crosstalk, leakage...)
-Earthing, insulation tests.
-Use of the modem and line test equipments "Sidekick", "Dynatel" and "Parascope".
-Tests of ADSL lines.
-Installation of DRA and monitoring of WLL operation.
-Cables characteridtics and system.
-Cable splicing and color codes.
-Customers' lines testing.
-Site visits to different switching offices.
