Present Responsible for dealing with anything relating to the ordering of materials, services and supplies for the company.
Duties:
• Conducting research via trade publication, the Internet, catalogues, and trade shows to identify potential suppliers.
• Working closely with the warehouse teams, trade counter people and mail order staff to keep an eye on what’s selling and what’s not.
• Ensuring that all goods and services purchased comply with the company’s social sustainability policies.
• Generating and implementing purchasing strategies.
• Managing purchase requisitions and orders.
• Preparing purchase orders and subcontracts
• Managing existing vendor and supplier relationships.
• Responding to internal and external supplier inquiries.
• Approving bills of payment.
• Having meetings with potential suppliers and asking them searching questions.
• Monitoring returns, damage replacements, and warranty claims.
• Experience of 3+ years in the field of services operation, wholesale and retail sales.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, oral/written communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem resolution skills.
• Great ability to manage and organize the retail and wholesale operation.
• Strong ability to plan and coordinate marketing programs.
• Proficient in development of the team and individual.
• Enthusiastic, self motivated and also motivates the staff.
Worked in all areas of the hostel. Reporting directly to the duty manager. In-charge for all the parties and meetings that happened there on a regular basis. Also trained in all the areas of the kitchen for effective management of kitchen staff.
This was a public-facing customer service experience. Taking a survey of all the passengers with the help of a PDA. Had to track and capture data like the zones, bus number, type of tickets being used for travel, validity, etc. Got a chance to travel across London using limited public transport.
