• DCS operation of Compressor stations from Main Gas Control Room
• DCS / Fiels operations as per planned production target, start up/shutdown of different units, handling of process upset etc.
• Working as Permit Issuing Authority.
• Preparation, review and revise Plant Operating Procedures.
• Deftly carrying out the:
o Process changes as per instructions for load variation, product quality change, process disturbances, etc.
o Tool Box Talk with maintenance crews, contractors, visitors & labours
o First Line Maintenance
o Mock drills for fire, toxic gas release, chemical splashing, and on-site/off-site emergency
• Monitoring the start up-shut down isolation and preparation of process units for maintenance / vessel entry / hot work / inspection
• Attending the training of other employees & national trainees
• Looking after the process from DCS/Field as per ISO & Dupont - Process Safety Management (PSM) Standards
• Providing instruction to field operator to meet plant requirements
• Spearheading the team of 7 members
• Skilfully trouble-shooting various types of process disturbances, quality upset, fire, power failure, steam failure, instrument air failure, cooling water failure, UPS failure, acid spillage, etc.
• Adroitly issuing the Work Permit to maintenance department
• Maintaining the BSC/ISO/PSM check sheet and follow up for strict adherence to safety standard for all kinds of jobs
• Conducting plant audit at regular interval of time viz. audit of fire fighting equipments such as BA set, fire extinguishers, fire box, first aid box, ladders audit and insulation audit of vessels as well as lines
• Delivering refresher training of fire fighting, health, safety, environment and first aid at regular intervals
• Rotating other plants as AFS (Auxiliary Fire Squad) Member in case of on-site emergency
